“Nostalgic Feelings”
This motel that brings up memories of times long gone is looked after very well by its present owners/management. We stayed there for 7 nights for the second time. The pool was well heated and the outdoors impeccably clean and nicely landscaped. The room was spacious enough for us, the bathroom a bit small but that is the nature of the building. Housekeeping was outstanding. The room and bathroom were cleaned, the beds made and towels changed EVERY DAY. The only place that provided such service on our whole 3-week trip. Breakfast is not included but the Blu‘ Island Bistro in the same building complex serves excellent breakfast. A 3-minute walk away is the Gold Rush BBQ, great food and home-brewed beer. Historic Downtown Venice is only a short drive with plenty of parking. All said and done: location perfect!

The hotel was wonderful. The staff was friendly. The room was very clean and cozy. One night cost $65. It was a room with two queen-size beds, a fairly large refrigerator, and a freezer. All rooms open onto a charming courtyard with a pool. I highly recommend this hotel.

“Nicely updated and maintained classic motel”
Size of the room (we had a Superior King, as booked). New bathroom suite and sink, all new and fresh. Daily full housekeeping service. The room and the motel in general are very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The pool is nice and well-heated. One bedside lamp didn’t work upon arrival but was exchanged straight away. Location was good for our purpose. Attached to the motel is the Blu Island Bistro, an absolutely amazing breakfast (and lunch) place with the friendliest staff you could wish for. Also within walking distance is the Gold Rush BBQ, a great place to eat and moderately priced.

Brand new bathroom, comfortable beds with clean linens. There was everything you need such as a refrigerator microwave iron hair dryer Loved the patio with a pool and You can cook yourself B-B-Q there Thank you very much We will definitely come back here again!

“Don't believe the bad reviews!”
Everything was great. Our room was fantastic, we had a standard room with queen size beds. I don't know what all the complaints and bad reviews are about. The pool area was tidy, the pool looked very clean. The cleanliness was top-notch, the beds were comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. There's a cute breakfast place next door. Value for money? Absolutely!
