Everything was just perfect. The hosts are amazing, caring and kind. We loved the property, the tour to the fish factory, the snow showing, the stories from Nils about the locals and island. Island still feels untouched by the world and quite wild nature.. Enjoyed snow showing around and nature. Jacuzzi and sauna were perfect. We even did a jump into the cold sea, was quite refreshing. The Northen lights danced for us, its was Awe taking and amazing experience. Definitely worth visiting.

We had a wonderful stay at Maria’s place. It’s a quiet and peaceful retreat, perfect for unwinding and enjoying nature. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the amenities needed, making it easy to prepare meals, which was a great convenience. Maria, our host was incredibly helpful, providing useful tips and ensuring a comfortable stay. The highlight of the trip was being lucky enough to witness the breathtaking Northern Lights right from the veranda – an unforgettable experience! If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with great hospitality and a touch of magic, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended!

The place is incredible, the houses are clean and cozy and it is a pleasure just to stay inside and relax. The nature outside is stunning. We were unlucky with the weather, but the house is so nice that we had a really good time anyway!

Totally in love with this place. The island offers an amazing landscape and the lodge was super cozy and warm. Also probably the most equipped kitchen I’ve ever found, you can really feel at home.

The property was beautiful. Two bathrooms were very convenient. it’s was a great size, the open plan kitchen, dining room and living room was brilliant. there were reading lights above each beds. It had fantastic views! we also loved walking up and down the pier. There was a lovely balcony from two bedrooms where we could watch the northern lights from. The jacuzzi was lovely too! The property was so lovely and warm! The host, Maria was so so helpful, right from booking she answered every question so quickly! I would definitely recommended hiring snow shoes to do some hiking! Maria has also dotted red sticks about to help you find your way when hiking through the snow. Make sure you don’t get caught out without any groceries! Maria was kind enough to ask the shop to stay open a little longer so we could buy groceries. Would definitely return!

The house was quite new and well equipped! It was an easy drive from Tromsø and over with the ferry and we loved the little place. It was easy to cook in the house and even the little shop across the road had some basics! We had a small baby with us and everything went well. The location was ideal for viewing the Northern lights - we saw them dance all above us just in the yard by the fire! The next day also over the water. We got incredibly lucky with the weather.

Relaxing quite stay in a wonderful modern clean cabin with a beautiful view. With optimal weather great location to see the aurora borealis, kayaking, use of the jacuzzi or readng a book on the deck. The Host (Maria) was lovely and accessible as needed.

Very generous and welcoming host who took care of all our needs and helped us spending the most amazing time there. From boat ride to some beautiful island and beach around, to good tips about walks and fire places in the area, to extended time on the check out, we felt extremely lucky! The jacuzzi in front of the rorbuer is ideally placed with a magnificent view. The bed is extra comfortable and the kitchen very well furnished. Thank you so so much for all!

“Beautiful surroundings and wonderful place to stay!”

Wonderful stay in Vengsøy rorbuer with my family. The feeling of calm when you arrive on the island by ferry. Amazing surroundings, beautiful view! It was more of a hotel feeling in this self catering lodge. We will come back and rent a boat during the summer, to see some of the beautiful neighboring islands. Highly recommended if you are looking for a remote getaway, still easily accessible from the city of Tromsø (half an hour drive, half an hour by ferry. Make sure to check the ferry schedule!
