“WE FELT RIGHT AT HOME”

Hello, we made our reservation from Turkey. They were very helpful from the beginning of our reservation process. They answered all our questions immediately. We stayed for 10 days as a group of 10 students. We were very satisfied with everything. I definitely recommend it. The hotel is located a 3-minute walk from bus stops. The rooms were cleaned regularly every day. They helped us with everything, including our kettle and plates. I recommend it to everyone.

“Lovely 3 night stay!”

For this being a short notice stay, as we had to suddenly find a hotel on little notice, this was an amazing place for us. The room was spotless, bed was very comfy and shower was lovely and clean. It was also nice to have a large fridge with a small added freezer compartment. The communication was also very good throughout the stay and with online as we booked taxis to and from the Malaga airport before the trip and couldn't have asked for a nicer driver, despite the language barrier they were extremely patient and we found the taxis being the cheapest around as a bonus. The surrounding area was also very nice with transport a short distance away, and a beach not too far. The people were all friendly and we loved the quiet atmosphere. We would love to stay again and recommend to anyone thinking of staying. Thank-you for the lovely stay and all the help you gave!

Good location close to centre of Velez Málaga and within walking distance of the beach and the fortress. Large room with air-conditioning.

My quarters were much larger than expected, boasting a spacious layout with one large double bed and two single beds. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and carried a fresh, welcoming scent. It felt both modern and homely, which made my stay even more comfortable. I was particularly impressed that the reception opened at least half an hour earlier to facilitate early check-in. Additionally, the reception staff stayed available after hours, which I found extremely convenient and reassuring. Small touches like these made a huge difference and showed how much the hotel values its guests’ comfort. Overall, Velis Hotel delivers a rare combination of efficiency, warmth, and comfort. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the surrounding areas who values excellent service, spacious accommodations, and genuine hospitality.

Good service via whatsapp (questions about room and check-in) + a fast response rate. Easy for a stop of 1 night during the walk of the GR249 (at the outside of velez Malaga with some breakfast options closeby)

“A good hotel and working Spanish town well worth the visit”

I can't understand why there were so many negative comments about this property. The room was huge with a sitting area. Hotel Veliz shares the building with Hotel Avenida which is no problem at all. If you want to experience a local Spanish town this is a good one to try. A wonderful Spanish restaurant next door doing a fabulous menu del dia lunchtimes only. Take a 20 minute walk into the town and bar hop. Loads of places to eat and drink on the way. Bus stop opposite the hotel to go into Torre del Mar or the El Ingenio shopping centre. Great breakfast cafe 200m up called El tomate making their own churros. Parking all the way up the middle of the main road. There is a full size fridge and a hairdryer which weren't featured in the write up. We will certainly stay here again.

You get exactly what you pay for. There's nothing bad about it.
