The room had a extreme strong and persistent odor that made it impossible to stay comfortably, even for 30 minutes. The smell was clearly embedded in the room. We immediately reported it, and a staff member confirmed the presence of the odor. However, no alternative room was provided, and the only solution offered was to use a spray. This is not an acceptable solution. A temporary spray does not resolve the underlying issue and only masks the smell for a short period. In addition, using chemical sprays in an enclosed space can be uncomfortable, especially for guests with sensitivities. A hotel room should meet basic standards of cleanliness and habitability, which was clearly not the case here. We had no choice but to leave the property. Very disappointing experience.
