What a view! Amazing location, if you have the chance take the long way and drive through the entire coastline of the peninsula. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, even late night food was available. Simply an amazing experience.

Room with sea view. I had the chance to be there alone so everything was quite. Old but functional.

Unexpectedly, we had a 3-room cottage for just 2 of us. For us, it has been perfect. It's hard to imagine 8 people staying there. Good for a night stay.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was warm, very clean, and offered a stunning view of the sunrise.

We were in a little house opposite of the hostel. Three bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. Close to hvitsker. Nice walk down to the beach and the rock.

This is a very nice hostel in the countryside, nicely secluded, set in delightful atmosphere and nature, very clean and pleasant. The kitchen is fully equipped. I can definitely recommend it. I will be back there ;)

“Enjoyed my Stay!”

Set in an isolated part of Iceland this hostel overlooks the sea and is close to the Hvítserkur Sea Stack otherwise known as the Sea Troll of Northern Iceland. Access is about 15 miles along a lonely gravel road but no problem for my small car - you just need to take it easy. I really liked my stay here and was lucky enough to have the whole house to myself as there were no other guests booked in on the night I stayed. I arrived very late (midnight) but this wasn’t a problem as the owner messaged me my check in instructions. Communication was excellent and all worked out well. It was something of an adventure driving to the property and checking in so late, I got my own single room, there was a shower room a couple of doors down, and the well stocked kitchen was right next to me. I got a good nights sleep although to be fair the curtains could have been a bit thicker as the current ones let in a lot of light - especially in the morning. The inside of the house is gorgeous, everything seems to be made of wood and it’s very cosy. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to others. It was a beautiful day and when I left I stopped off at the sea troll and carried on around the peninsula until I once again reached Route 1.

“Perfect stay for my group of photographers”

My group had the whole house for itself, which is a stroke of luck one will probably not have during the high-season. We were welcomed upon arrival at night and shown the place, which was very spacious and clean - and warm! The rooms are small, but as the shared accomodations are huge, that is not a problem, especially when you are the only guests. The parking-space for the Hvitserkur-rock was just a few hundred meters away.

The accommodation was as we expected based on what we saw on booking. Even though we were late, the owner met us and welcomed us. Very satisfied with the accommodation, quiet, warm, comfortable.

We arrived at the guesthouse at around 8-9 PM and the host was expecting us at the reception, next to the main building. He was extremely nice and friendly while explaining us the facilities of the accommodation. There are two kitchens one upstairs and one downstairs, we used the one downstairs near our bedroom. The kitchen had all the needed utensils and we used the microwave to heat our dinner. In the kitchen there are different plastic bags for the different kinds of waste. Our room was small but nice and warm, the beds were separated (common thing in Iceland) and we had to make it ourselves with the sheets and blankets provided us. Towels were provided as well. There were two bathrooms downstairs and each of them had a shower, a toilet and a sink. We chose this accommodation because of the seals that were supposed to rest on the beach nearby but unfortunately no seal was seen (maybe cause of the snow 9-10 October)
