It's a very authentic farm stay, with a friendly dog and horses all around. The apartment has also very authentic, Icelandic countryside vibes - not too fancy but very clean and comfy.

Perfectly located near Varmahlid, we stayed after we drove the road 35, very convenient. It's a spacious enough apartment for a family of 4, with a fully equipped kitchen. It's located on a farm, and the owners live right next door. We had only a short time, we would love to stay longer and hike around (there is a waterfall nearby). Recommended, also because of the friendly dog and a cat that come to say hi upon checkin.

Cat and dog and the beautiful / tidy and well equipped apartment Owners have managed for the guests. We feel the kind and generous hospitality during our stay. There’s a book and guidance to a special hot spring and waterfall nearby which is also a must if you stay there. Please do take a walk and see the Horses and little river in vicinity. We really enjoy the vibes there.

Smooth arrival and check-in, the apartment has a separate access. Thank you for the information about the accommodation - the place has its own history. Beautiful morning walk from the accommodation to the waterfall and hot spring, the dog accompanied us... Whatever was needed, communication with the landlords was lightning fast and problem-free.

Great place, in fact a full flat with all the ammenities you could expect from the place like that. Very clean and cosy. Very strategically placed especially if you use F35 coming from the interior of the island.

Very calm place with animals around, surrounded just by the nature but very close to Route 1. The apartment was clean, fully equipped for cooking. Appreciate two separate rooms for sleeping.

We loved our stay at Sauerbær Apt, even for just 1 night. We felt homey right away. Friendly welcoming. Very big apt., comfortable beds, good shower, everything clean. Its the only apt, so it was very quiet. Lovely dog. Beautiful waterfall Reykjafall and Fosslaug (hot spring) 25 min walk or 4 min by car (with 10 min walk). We were almost alone there. Would have loved to stay longer!

The apartment is in an authentic horse farm. The family running the farm are very nice and hospitable. The apartment is very clean and spacious with a very well equipped kitchen. Nearby waterfall and natural hot spring are hidden gems. We loved how calm the place was.
