Closeness to nice cafes and restaurants, very close to the beach. Very well maintained! The absolute best thing about First place is the excellent staff. So friendly and service minded. The breakfast was always so delicious. If you want to do yoga there is yoga class every morning at 8 am which was a great way to start the day. I would recommend First place to anyone who wants a chill and relax stay in the surroundings of Varkala.

Very relaxed and friendly hotel. The staff were lovely and even surprised my wife with a cake on her birthday. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the on site yoga.

I loved everything at First place, The rooms, the yogaclasses, the stuff the view from the balkony while eating every day a delicious banana pancake ❤️ I can highly recommend it and I‘ll definetly come back! Loveliest regards to all the beautiful people at First place <3

The breakfast was delicious, and the room was very comfortable. The location is calm and close to both Varkala Cliff and the beach. As a solo traveller, I found it safe and comfortable. Tuk-tuks are easily available near the hotel, which makes travel convenient. Enzo and Zack, the friendly dogs, add a lovely touch to the atmosphere. Rahul is a wonderful manager; the whole team was helpful, friendly, and responsible. I enjoyed my stay at The First Place Yoga Resort and would love to return on my next visit to Varkala. Thank you for making my stay memorable!

A welcoming, clean, comfortable, and safe place. The staff are service-minded and available to help and ensure a good experience. Thank you, Raul, and your colleague, for your excellent service and friendliness. There are two dogs on the property, but they are adorable. It's well-located with restaurants nearby. Right across the street is Aum Cafe, a vegetarian restaurant with delicious food. Blu Water Resort and Restaurant also has delicious dishes. Breakfast was included in my stay and was served there, and it was very good. Varkala Cliff is a 10- to 15-minute walk away, and there are many options there. I stayed in a room with a fan, and for this time of year, it was sufficient. I completely recommend it and hope to return.🙏😊

This hotel was truly magnificent. I stayed in a room with a balcony that offered stunning views of both the sea and surrounding nature. The accommodations were always impeccably clean and fresh-smelling, with housekeeping service every three days that maintained excellent standards throughout my stay. The location was perfect – situated in a very peaceful area with close proximity to the sea. One of the highlights of my experience was the exceptional dining. I was fortunate to enjoy traditional Indian breakfast and lunch prepared by a talented Assamese chef. The food was not only delicious but also remarkably affordable, and you could taste the care and passion in every dish. The meals were beautifully presented and served with genuine warmth. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting me with booking train tickets and even arranging alternative breakfast options when their chef had to be away temporarily. This level of personal attention and problem-solving really made my stay memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with excellent service, authentic cuisine, and wonderful views.

Amazing hospitality, amazing food and amazing food.

The resort is just a short walk from the beach—less than a minute—which is super convenient, especially when you're with kids. The staff is incredibly helpful, making us feel right at home and offering great recommendations for nearby cafes and spots to hang out. Big thanks to the team!
