“Loving and peaceful”

Baba Luru's feels like home. The kind of home you miss when you're away... This place is absolutely beautiful and cozy. Keegan makes sure everything works with care and love. The dogs are the living essence of the house, each one with their own personalities are the best company you could ask for. Plus, It was very easy to connect with the other girls in the house because the energy of the place is so peaceful.. Everyone would want to stay for long in here ... This was the calm i needed. “Tranquil little oasis with doggos”

This was my second time at Baba Luru's and I hope to soon be back at this peaceful little oasis. Thank you so much Keegan and Suzi for your hospitality!

Definitely one of the nicest places I stayed at in Kerala. The dogs and goats (baby goats as well!) were amazing and the host Keegan was very friendly. The rooms were spacious and everything had a calm, private and relaxing vibe. I would recommend!

“Chill vibes”

I stayed in a female dorm room and there were no bunk beds, but two simple beds which I really appreciated. We were only two girls in one room. There are two other rooms like that on the ground floor so in total 6 girls in 3 rooms. (And then there are the double rooms upstairs.) This way the vibe is really chill, absolutley not like a crowded hostel where they want to fit in as many people as possible in a tiny space. Feels more like a little community where people can mingle if they choose to but also have their own space (even though they stay in shared rooms). Keegan is a gracious & flexible host, a relaxed and fun guy. He clearly enjoys his job and makes his guests feel welcome. The doggies are fun as well ;)

“Beautiful place”

I had the best stay in India!! such a nice and chilled place, i stayed in an appartement with 3 other girls, we shared a kitchen and a living room. it felt like home. the rooftop is cozy and perfect for yoga and chilling. Keegan is an amazing host and the dogs are super cuuteee!! thanks a lot 🫶🏼

A wonderful and homely stay where you could relax, take free yoga sessions on the communal rooftop space and get to know other fellow travellers. Keegan has done an amazing job at rescuing several dogs who also welcome you into the pack, along with Suzie the wonderful housecleaner and the volunteer there.

“Absolutely amazing”

If you’re in Varkala, Baba Luru’s is truly the place to be. A clean and comfortable environment, surrounded by greenery and close to North Cliff. Keegan, the guy who runs it, is absolutely amazing. And the dogs who live here are nothing but lovable. Only good vibes in this place. If I ever come back to Varkala, I’d have zero doubts about where to stay.

The place is very nice. Lots of places to chill, like on the rooftop and the hammocks. The owner was super friendly and the animals are cute too. Good place to meet people.

The vibe is very nice and the staff is wonderful. Everythint felt like home and doggos gives lovely charm for the place :)

Keegan was the perfect host. Super friendly and kind and went out of his way multiple times to help us. The property is awesome and surrounded by nature. We loved the dogs especially Peanut and spent alot of time chilling on the rooftop. Would highly recommend visiting Baba Luru's if you're staying in the area.

“Excellent accommodation in a beautiful place”

Superb! Everything is wonderful. The rooms the surroundings, the balcony views. The staff Keegan and Suzie. Keegan was tremendously helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Even booked our train tickets for us. Suzie made a wonderful fish lunch. The dogs are all lovely each with their own personality. Cannot recommend my stay enough. It was perfect.

Our stay at Baba Laru’s was simply fantastic! Keegan is by far the most welcoming and helpful host we’ve met during our trip to India. He took care of everything, always making sure we had the best recommendations for trips, restaurants, and anything else we needed. Even after we had moved on to a different location, he kept sending us event suggestions nearby—this truly shows how much he cares about his guests. Baba Laru’s is more than just a place to stay; it’s a home filled with warmth, connection, and an amazing sense of community. And that includes the seven wonderful dogs that are part of the family! Especially Salsa and Peanut, but also the others, made our stay even more special. We stayed as a family of five and immediately felt at home. It’s also a great place for solo travelers, as Keegan makes sure everyone feels included, often inviting guests to breakfast or dinner together. Thank you for the amazing time, Keegan!
