Overview
Al Borducan Romantic Hotel is located in the centre of Sacro Monte di Varese, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This hotel features period furniture, and a restaurant with a panoramic terrace.The restaurant is a "love restaurant" with candle light dinner and lunch with a panoramic view with a no children allowed in the restaurant for dinner policy . Rooms at the Al Borducan Romantic Hotel feature flat-screen TV, a minibar and a fully equipped private bathroom. Some rooms offer parquet floors, others have a balcony. In fine weather, breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking Campo di Fiori park and Lago di Varese. The restaurant specialises in traditional dishes. At the bar, guests can sample the exclusive Elixir del Borducan. This orange-based herbal liqueur is made following a secret family recipe. Transfers to Varese or Malpensa Airport, a 45-minute drive away, can be arranged. Parking is difficult because structure is in a pietonal area and pubblic parking is available free from monday to friday, to pay saturday and sunday.

The location is amazing, absolutely stunning views. Utterly beautiful area - you can just walk into the most amazing places. The hotel is really charming and unspoilt, but with enough modern luxury to be very comfortable. The room was perfect for our stay. Very comfortable bed. And the balcony was incredible. We often sat out there watching the mountainside, the weather and the swifts flying beneath us. The staff were exceptionally kind, helpful and informative. Having no Italian, we were made to feel very welcome and all staff spoke sufficient English for us to be able to communicate easily. Breakfast was good and the restaurant meal was exceptional (really worth having).

“Splendid landscapes in a UNESCO site with authentic cuisines from Varese!”
The best experience I had must be the considerate service from the stuffs, especially Elessia, Mario and Davide. With their wonderful tips I spent two days for a worthy-while trip of both Sacro Monte de Varese and Lake Varese.

Beautiful building, amazing location and historic feel. Incredible view from the windows and terrace. Kind staff. Cosy and comfortable room, large windows but can darken easily with the heavy curtains for a good sleep. Wonderfully quiet and serene location.

Unique experience. If you like to stay at vintage place on great spot with beautiful view, this is a must. Secret tip: have a walk in the village after all visitors leave (before the dinner).

The room views were breathtaking. And it was by far the most comfortable bed I have ever had in a hotel. It was heaven, honestly. The room was big, warm, bright during the day and dark at night. Perfection.

“Perfect for a couple in a quick weekend retreat! Loved it!”
I loved the property itself, the location is amazing, the room with lake view is spectacular. The food in the restaurant was really great, and the staff was very professional, yet friendly and warm. Everything was really really clean, the bed was extremely comfortable. The village surrounding the hotel is very beautiful and quiet, with amazing views and dreamy little streets. We absolutely loved it!

“Good location but not coming back”
choose this hotel long time ago just for location because it's my second visit to this area! Unfortunately we was unlucky and stayed Tuesday to Wednesday night when restaurant was closed but anyway we enjoyed our view from balcony ( even balcony next to us people was smoking non stop but this not hotel problem just unlucky) bed was very comfortable and not bad breakfast (no hot food offered)! We arrived early then check in time and owner let us in and room was ready straight on! Thank you.

The location and views are exceptional, and the hotel is beautifully appointed in keeping with the character and charm of the building We did not have dinner there, however the restaurant is apparently excellent
