Valerie was a lovely lady. Made us feel very welcome. Our room was incredible. If you would like a kettle in your room. Valerie is very happy to oblige. We had a courtyard outside of our room.The sun was shining and Valerie's partner made me an incredible aperol spritz. We was recommended the restaurant next door. It was amazing, such friendly people. We had a local aperitif. Which was lovely. 30 euros for a 3 course meal. All ingredients locally sourced. I will look forward to staying here next year.

We booked an apartment and it was clean and modern. It was very spacious and it had a nice terrace. The hotel has a nice wine cellar and a large garden. Wi-Fi was working fine.

We booked a while ago as part of our holiday. We always book accommodation that accepts dogs to stay and eat at their property. We always look after the properties we stay at!! Upon trying to book a table at their restaurant I was told that dogs are not allowed. It then followed with a very unfriendly message that to be warned that any dog hairs or dirt found after we left will be charged. Now I can understand the dirt, but hairs are inevitable with a dog! I then asked where are we meant to eat when we arrive, to which I had no reply until 48 hours later which was on the morning on our arrival. As I could not take the chance after a long journey to have no where to eat when we arrive, I took the difficult decision to find somewhere else to stay that was more welcoming. I also had a follow up message to tell me that dogs cannot go with us to breakfast and would have to stay in the room - another change in policy! Surely leaving the dog in the room is worse as they cannot be supervised!! I have now had to pay an extra £100 for a change policy!!! Where we stayed was far superior and was welcoming which is all we ask when we book places to stay.

Welcome was superb, room was gorgeous, beds were hugely comfortable, shower was great, breakfast was amazing. Restaurant was fabulous.

“An affordable luxury, comforatable, and convenient stop-over”

We had a 1-night stop-over at this accommodation on our journey north to Eurotunnel. It was easy and convenient for travel on the A6, and had an excellent location alongside the canal - great for a very scenic walk (with our dog) along the towpath, with view of a spectacular castle on the opposite hillside. Maxim who greeted us when we arrived was very welcoming and helpful. The bedroom was very well-appointed, spacious and comfortable, although there were not any soaps, etc. provided. The adjacent restaurant (separately owned) was of a very high quality for dinner. Due to our need for an early start, we didn't have the breakfast offered by the accommodation. Everything had a "feel good factor" about it. We would definitely be very happy to return or recommend to others - possibly for a little longer to explore the surrounding area, or in the spring or summer when more outdoor options are available.

What a wonderful location! Stunning walks around the place. We had a massive room over two floors which was incredible for the price. Next door is a fantastic restaurant which shouldn’t be missed.
