Located 5 km from Vallon-en-Sully and set in a castle surrounded by 74 acres of forest, Château de Peufeilhoux offers an outdoor pool as well as spacious rooms with a fireplace and free WiFi access. Decorated with period furniture, each room here offers a seating area, views of the garden and a private bathroom with a bathtub or a shower, a hairdryer, free toiletries and bathrobes. A buffet breakfast with homemade produce is available every morning and includes tea, coffee, honey, eggs, cakes, hot chocolate and brioche. “Perfect. Historic. Friendly. Book it!”
It is difficult to put into words how incredible this chateau experience is. The host, Antoine, was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and he provided information on the chateau (his family home) the history and the grounds. The room was enormous, and absolutely in keeping with the age of the property. The bathroom was massive and had everything one could need. There's 10 hectares of grounds that have been curated into a special walk through a number of themes. Even in autumn it was fascinating. Breakfast, fresh and plentiful, was included. We shall, without hesitation, come back. One of the most enjoyable nights away we have ever spent. 11/10 from us!

“Historoic Renovation beautifully done.”
Location, history, the beauty and the, restoration. The grounds and castle are just fabulous. We went out of season so my judgement should be tempered with that in mind nd as things like Pool were not available as you'd expect. The Owners Son, took time to welcome us, explain everything and showed us the available rooms to pick one. He was an amazing host. We walked the grounds early eve around d the fairy garden, met the geese, the Boar and walked around the "Indian village". Breakfast was satisfactory as this is frankly a Band B and this, should be taken into account.

The welcome from Rida (Rita?) was exceptional! We were even given our choice to upgrade the room if we wanted (which we did). Thank you! The owner was very gracious the next morning and even gave us a private tour of his Egyptian exhibit. I walked around the castle grounds in the morning and was flabbergasted by the beauty and the upkeep of the various gardens and exhibits. We will definitely come back to see the gardens and fountains when they're open.

“Restful stay at a superb historic location with excellent staff.”
The setting and building were superb. What a wonderful restoration! Topped off by the friendliness of the staff team. It was a superb stay. We were even given some eggs to go home with from their chickens. And a very informative tour of the restored rooms downstairs.

Who doesn’t like the idea of staying in a chateau? It was quite an experience. Our bedroom was stunning, the host was very gracious, and we really appreciated the fascinating tour of the castle and hearing about the owner’s family history.

The staff were extremely nice and welcoming! Rida was so absolutely lovely! They were the nicest of all of France! The room was exquisite. The restoration of the castle was incredible. This was my favorite castle experience in all of france and I can’t wait to go back! 10/10

“Beautiful chateau and gardens.”
This very nice chateau is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The whole property is kept in very good shape. The owners gave us a tour of the building with its many historical rooms, really interesting. Good breakfast and nice very friendly owners. Definitely recommended if you want something else than just a plain hotel.
