“It was great and unforgettable”

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the the wonderful host, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The check-in process was quick and efficient, and we were provided with all the information we needed to make the most of my stay. Welcome bottle of local vine was a nice touching surprise. We had two huge bedrooms in a separate gardener house. The rooms were immaculate, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, I also loved how quiet and peaceful the room was, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The bathroom was recently decorated, and was spacious and clean. Ground floor kitchen contained everything you might need for self-catering. The chatelette is in the "middle of nowhere", but not far from local village, so it was tranquil and quiet. We had a small secluded garden of our own, so our dog was able to play outside the whole day. Our overall experience was superb, thanks to Hieke.

Me & my dog enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful rural location. But I loved the sense of historic time travel provided by the chateau and its grounds....The gite itself is full of historic features. That said, the modern bathroom was appreciated; as was the well-equipped kitchen, with particularly large cooker. The bed seemed to be a king size and was comfortable; slept well....I found Hieke to be a very open and personable character. She's happy to have those little chats. As the hostess, she respects her guest’s privacy but is always there should help be require. Thank you.

“Peaceful week in beautiful surroundings with village only 2km away and our own lake with dinghy.”

The property was very clean, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We wanted a peaceful holiday and this property is perfect for that. We loved the private lake with a dinghy provided for our use.

We loved absolutely everything! Hieke was so lovely and made every effort to ensure our stay was the best ever, right from communication once booked, to directions to get there, meeting us very late at night, and thinking of just about everything we could ever need whilst we were there. The whole property and location are stunning with great walks and views, and the Gite is beautiful with every possible thing you would need provided for. The open fire is very homely and the enclosed garden was amazing for our dog who was also catered for so well. We cannot wait to go back again soon.

Lovely old stone house with log stove, enclosed private garden and dog friendly. We were greeted with a smile and nice bottle of wine by the owner. Great stopover in the country.
