Located on the Camino De Santiago Pilgrimage Route, Montaña Mendiola has a rural setting in Valcarlos, a village on the French-Spanish border. Free Wi-Fi and impressive mountain views are offered. Each apartment at the Montaña Mendiola is heated and features country-style décor with wooden flooring. All accommodation comes with a seating area, satellite TV and a kitchenette. “Not good value for money. Nothing extra other than a room.”
Hard mattress with noisy plastic protector. Toilet door didn’t lock properly. Two coffee machines but no coffee. You need to bring everything required to cook food-nothing provided.

Comfortable bed. Shower cubicle let water onto the bathroom floor. I didn’t use any other facilities.

Dog Friendly :):):) Arrived 2pm to there restaurant Karrikaburu which had a lovely dog friendly beer garden, got amazing food starter and main for 15 eur (which was well needed after my hike from SJPDP) THEY DO THE BEST MOJITO'S here. They gave my dogs lots of attention and we were very happy to be there. Then checked into apartment which was a short walk down the street, had 3 other housemates and another dog who were lovely. Also doing Camino. Had a Pilgrim dinner then that evening. Would definitely come back here.
