Charming traditional French family feel hotel. Very clean and tidy. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. Plenty of breakfast and if you decide to book the restaurant for dinner, it really is superb food.

“Delightful, historic Val D'Isere landmark, great value for money.”
This is a delightful small Alpine hotel. It was designed and built in 1964 by a local architect and carpenter, and makes great use of wood throughout. The hotel has been well maintained, not over restored, and is great value for money. The room was compact but well designed, with good storage space, and a better than average bathroom for a hotel at this price point. I had a drink at the bar, but did not dine in the restaurant. The buffet breakfast is good, although the coffee is not great.

“Good value and perfectly nice hotel; make sure the restaurant does not lose your booking!”
The hotel rooms were surprisingly spacious (for location / price), clean and comfortable. Breakfast selection was fine by British standards (but modest by French standards as it had no hot food). We were met by friendly staff (Naomi) and made to feel welcome. The boot room for ski gear was handy. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the slopes with shoes, but more like 10 minutes with ski boots and equipment. However, we always used the super frequent and free ski shuttle bus to get to the slopes and this was much easier - we never waiting more than 5 minutes for a bus and there is an app with live bus tracking in case you get worried and the hotel is right next to bus stop. There is a ski in option, but it is along a blue run that involves a fair amount of flat terrain and walking, so the shuttle was always the preferred option for us. In case you try the ski in option - the hotel has no back door (which would face the slopes) and it is 3 roads over from the slopes, so good luck finding it!

“A place to throw your hat. Great people. Smiles all around.”
People were great. Helpful, polite, informative. Breakfast was fine, just fine. I was looking for a place to throw my hat, and this room was perfect for that. It was an overnight stay, nothing more. Bathroom clean and functional. View of the mountain and a terrific sunset. Bed comfortable, with pillows in excess (this is good). All in all, for my stay, just about perfect. Not fancy, but functional.

Breakfast was ok. The room was very basic and dated. Loo was broken in our room which we only found out late at night. We stayed one night, arriving in the evening and leaving in the morning and the hotel was fit for that purpose
