Overview
This chalet-style hotel is decorated in a typical Alpine style and is located in Val d’Isère, a 5-minute walk from the ski station and 50 metres from the free ski shuttle bus. The rooms have flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi internet access. Each guest room at the Hôtel Avancher also has a private bathroom. A buffet breakfast is offered each morning and guests can sample traditional Savoyard specialities in the restaurant, which prepares its meals with fresh, local produce. The bar offers a large selection of wine. Guests are also invited to relax with a cocktail in the lounge, which has a piano and a selection of games or in the sauna. The reception are available for all tourist information and public parking is available nearby with an extra cost.

The breakfast was excellent overall, with a wide variety of options and high quality. On the first day, I didn’t notice the signs and mistakenly took a raw egg for a boiled one. Later, I realized that the restaurant had actually separated the cooked eggs from the raw ones, which was very thoughtful. The only small downside was that I couldn’t quite manage the serrated, clamp-style tool provided for opening the eggs—I wasn’t able to open one successfully. It would be even better if there were a simpler “drop-style” egg opener available, making it more convenient and user-friendly. Overall, it was a very enjoyable breakfast experience.

We forgot something in the room and the hotel sent it straight back to our home. This rarely happens and we appreciate the honesty. Merci beaucoup! We had dinner at the restaurant and all of us agree the Raclette was excellent.

“Fun, comfortable, and so welcoming”
This was our second trip to the Hotel Avancher and once again it did not disappoint. It’s such a welcoming place, the staff could not be anymore courteous, charming and professional. Our room was super clean and exceptionally comfortable. We had a splendid fondue in the restaurant that evening which I would highly recommend.It is honestly one of the best hotels we have stayed in over all the years we have traveled. We will be back!!

As others have said, this is a lovely and well-organised hotel and we enjoyed our stay here. Great buffet breakfast. Worthwhile staying in the summer for a lovely experience at a fraction of the winter rate. Perhaps a good stop for a rest day while hiking the GR5.

“Chic, charming & very comfortable great value hotel”
Great combination of charming alpine character and modern classy design. Very cool spa area which beautiful views of Bellevarde. Bar area is very appealing with a cool vibe (inside & outside) Room was comfortable with big bathroom. Breakfast had good selection. Friendly & warm welcome at reception. All staff very personable. Good location - easy 5 min walk to town. SPAR supermarket and pizza takeaway directly opposite. We were very happy here and would definitely return.

“Lovely hotel for a family ski holiday in Val D'Isere”
Amazing hotel in a great location. A short walk into Val D'Isere and close to the bus stop to get to the various different ski lifts. Nice clean and warm rooms with excellent bath and shower. Lovely cosy bar with great staff and wide selection of drinks. The Spa has lovely views of the mountain and was perfect to relax after a day on the slopes.

“Fantastic”
Great hotel, food excellent, lovely staff, extremely clean and quiet, bar has a nice atmosphere. Nice games room for the kids handy for ski rental which is over the road, Right by mini spar supermarket for snacks and supplies loved the spa after a busy day on the slopes.
