Lovely accommodation in front of the water. Close to the town centre, and the ship docks. Bike rent point just out of the door (not belonging to their business), friendly and helpful staff (belonging to the restaurant). Rich and complete breakfast. A typical place where to come back with no hesitation

Sweet, attentive and funny owner, he lent us his personal hair dryer 😁 He told us a lot of things about Væroy and his history, and gave us a lot of recommendations about what to do on the island.

Absolutely everything was great. The room is comfortable and cosy. Friendly and welcoming staff. You get everything you need (even slippers)

The location was incredible. We walked everywhere on the island and experienced breathtaking views, fantastic nature and four seasons in one day. The accomodation was great. We were the first travellers of the season so there were little hiccups but the owner Kjell (Shell) was FANTASTIC! He is friendly, fun, relaxed, kind and just so generous. His restaurant does not open until May, so he brought us fish and scallops he had caught himself so we could try the local produce. He lit the Sauna each night so we could relax. (The hot tub was not on - but this was April, so too early really!) He offered us the use of his van to collect groceries on the first night and was just great to have around. Everything that didn't work (cooker) Kjell replaced in around ten minutes all cleaned and ready to go. He has stories of northern lights, orcas, seals, eagles, whales and he absolutely made our trip. Sometimes it's not what you do, its who you meet. We will return one day.

The owner is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. All around good vibes! Really enjoyed the complimentary sauna for guests. Looking forward to coming back to try the restaurant during summer season!

The hotel is very close to the ferry, which is nice when you arrive but a little exhausting when you want to explore the island by foot. The rooms have a very nice interior and the beds extremely comfortable. Shampoo/Bodywash and conditioner are provided. It is really cozy! I was able to check-in very early which was very accomodating.

“Comfy stay, amazing boat trip and great food in restaurant!”

It is basically the only hotel in the island so its not like we had many options... haha But regardless the lack of options, the stay was great! It was comfortable and clean. Right next to the ferry and by the water. We ended up doing a last minute boat tour with the hotel that was amazing! It was 3 hours where we went to see the Puinn beach, bird watching and fishing. It is the guide that does the fishing for the restaurant of the hotel, super fresh fish. He recommended us try the halibut for dinner and we did, dont regret it. You have to book in advance because it was full restaurant! Hotel didnt seem so full though, I think most people dont stay in Vaeroy for the night, just come to spend the day from Moskenes. But we definitely think to spend the night in Vaeroy was the best idea, had a great time and are for sure thinking of coming back for a longer fishing trip. Even though Lofoten was super crowded, Vaeroy was super quiet and calm. We loved it so much!

The dinner at the restaurant was very good and worth the price. Værøy itself is beautiful and well worth a visit if you like a secluded spot without mass tourism, beautiful nature and lots of fresh air. Værøy is a small place so don't expect to find all kind of services available. For example there are no taxi. (We arrived by helicopter and the staff at the airport was kind and organized private transportation for us.) Friendly, helpful locals.

“Superb stay in Værøy”

The perfect location, only about 5 min walking distance to the ferry harbor. You can see the ferry arriving and leaving directly from the hotel. Every hotel staff that I met was superbly kind and helpful. The room and bed are very comfortable, had a wonderful sleep after a 7-hour hike . The breakfast room has probably the best view of the island (and its always great seeing Roko during the breakfast time, who always takes extra steps to make my stay even more enjoyable). Dinner was wonderful.

Owner is very great, and happy to help. He also runs a restaurant which definitely worths a try. When the breakfast is not provided (in low season) you can access a shared kitchen. The hotel is the first from the port, which is great when you don't have a car.
