Waking up with the jungle literally right outside your window never gets old. The place was spotless and you could tell Cory and Aly genuinely care about it. They went out of their way to give us tips that we honestly wouldn’t have found anywhere else, and it made such a difference to the trip. Highly recommend staying here.

A beautiful accommodation surrounded by nature with a great, relaxing vibe. Aly and Cory are very kind and welcoming hosts. We saw and heard so many animals, including a toucan that nested right in front of our room a truly special experience! A little piece of paradise, perfect for relaxing and finding your inner peace again.

“Perfect for a trip to Uvita by car!”

Everything! The surrounding sounds and wildlife is super nice. We loved the pool to cool down. The hut was pretty cozy.

The property is in the heart of the forest and you’re surrounded by wildlife. It’s about a 10 minute drive up some hilly tracks. The villas are super private with views overlooking the forest. You can see all the wildlife from your bed. You have your own kitchen but there is a shared space where you can make meals overlooking the jungle. You 100% need a car if you want freedom here, but sometimes we got a taxi to take us to dinner so we didn’t have to drive the roads in the dark. Ali and Cory were so friendly and amazing hosts, they live just down from the villas and are there for any information and to chat. We had to pull ourselves away from Uvita. We loved it.

Very friendly couple. Beautiful place, conveniently close to the center and the beach. Stylish villas and great place for outside cooking. We also loved the fruits and saw a few animals around:)

The place was amazing

Such a lovely place - we loved every minute of our stay! In the nature with Tucans greeting us for breakfast, very clean place with wonderful hosts. A nice pool and a beautiful garden. Just as lovely as in the pictures, the perfect boutique jungle experience!

Great place overall! Cory is such a genuine, nice guy and gave us great food and drinks recommendations. Room is fully equiped and looks great. At dusk, you can also spot a lot of birds

A unique experience in the nature

We initially booked only 3 days at the sutton, but immediately after arrival extended to one week. Why? Because its simply that good. This is the place you dont want to rate 10/10 because you want to keep it to yourself.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights in the Sutton and it’s definitely an experience we will never forget for the rest of our lives. Aly and Cori were great hosts and gave us a lot of good recommendations: if you have the chance, definitely book a whale watching tour with Esteban. For the most of our stay we even had the common kitchen spaces and the pool for ourselves and made very good use of it. It was one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept in and waking up in the middle of the jungle with such a view is definitely something else. During the breakfast on our last day we could see some white faced monkeys from very close up.

“A hidden gem”

In our top 3 places we stayed in CR. Each self catering lodge is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean and surrounded by gorgeous plants, giving you privacy yet all close to the shared pool. Each has its own kitchen area and there's a beautiful shared outdoor kitchen so you can prepare your own meals. Its up on the mountain in a quiet residential area and the Canadian owners are super helpful with restaurant and activity recommendations.. We would have loved to have stayed longer as its also superbly located between Uvita and Domenical, so plenty to explore.

A very modern and comfortable villa with a wonderful jungle atmosphere and a true sense of relaxation. The fully equipped kitchen allows you to cook your own meals. The pool is clean and perfect for a refreshing morning dip or relaxing by during the day. The hosts are helpful and attentive. Great location for exploring the nearby national parks.

Three years later, The Sutton – Boutique Jungle Experience remains an absolute dream! Returning felt like coming home to paradise, and every detail was just as impeccable as we remembered—if not even better. Once again, we found ourselves staying in one of the stunning houses perched on the lush mountain slope above Playa Hermosa, where the sunsets are nothing short of magical. The patio continued to be our favorite spot, offering mesmerizing views of the jungle teeming with vibrant birds—a birdwatcher's ultimate haven. The casita’s elegant design, dreamy beds, and thoughtful touches made it impossible not to relax completely. And yes, the walk-in closet still made us feel extra pampered! Ali & Cory’s hospitality remained unmatched. Their recommendations led us to new adventures and hidden gems, reinforcing why they’re the ultimate hosts. We enjoyed every moment spent at the property—from the refreshing dips in the pool to lively evenings at the rancho, where we cooked, laughed, and shared stories with fellow guests. The location continues to be ideal, allowing guests to visit not only close spectacular sites like Nauyaca Waterfalls and Manuel Antonio National Park but also venture further to Corcovado National Park and Caño Island, making it easy to explore even more breathtaking corners of Costa Rica. And, of course, the neighborhood’s best Italian restaurant at the foot of the hill did not disappoint! After four visits to Costa Rica, The Sutton is still one of the most exceptional stays we’ve experienced. A million thanks once again, Ali & Cory—you’ve created something truly special. “A calm oasis to relax, unwind and enjoy the lush environment around you.”

Beautiful location among the trees of the rainforest with a lovely pool to cool off in. It was very quiet and peaceful and so relaxing having a swim first thing in the morning or at the end of the day with birds darting about. The pool was really clean and the accommodation was spacious with a great terrace area to sit outside which included cooking facilities too. Most importantly the bed was large and extremely comfortable.
