“A magical few days in nature”

Nature's Edge is truly a special kind of place to stay and without doubt the most unique hotel I've been lucky enough to visit. It was exactly the place my wife and I were looking for our final few days in Costa Rica and a magical way to end our trip. Set away in the midst of the jungle, we had breathtaking views all the way out to sea and watched the rain from the comfort of our deck. We fell asleep to the sounds of the rainforest, and awoke to howler monkeys and toucans. Our casita was beautifully comfortable with everything we needed. The shared kitchen space was also excellent and gave us an opportunity to cook some nice evening meals, even managing a barbecue one night. All of this was made possible by our amazing hosts. Jim, Katia and Felipe were incredibly kind with excellent recommendations and great conversations. Katia's delicious breakfasts by the pool were something we both looked forward to each morning. She was also kind enough to share one of her recipes when I asked. Also, whilst, we didn't meet in person, Tommy was really communicative in helping us to coordinate before we arrived. As a mostly city driver, I was initially a bit unsure about how I'd get on driving up the dirt road to the hotel. However, with a decent 4x4, as recommended, it was very straightforward, especially after we'd gone up and down one time. I really hope we can make it back to Nature's Edge one day, and can't recommend it highly enough.

To put it simply: an exceptional stay on our CR trip. In detail: beautiful bungalows with a magnificent view and attention to detail. The many little touches, like complimentary snacks, a power bank, a varied and freshly prepared breakfast every morning, or a welcome pineapple, made it perfect. Many thanks to Katja, Tom, and Jim for their outstanding service and warm hospitality.

Such an amazing place high up in the mountains near Uvita. The casita was clean and well laid out with everything you would need for a self contained stay. Both Jim and Katia were so helpful and the breakfasts were superb. Being able to sit on the balcony listening to the howler monkeys and the toucans was magical

Amazing stay!! We loved it! The view is amazing. The pool is with salted water, which is original and very good for your skin, never seen this at other hotels. The facility is amazing. and keith and joe were extremely nice to us. They also make a delicious healthy breakfast. We wish we could've stayed more. But we're definitely coming back!

“A slice from paradise”

We recently stayed at this wonderful accommodation run by two amazing hosts, and wecan't recommend it highly enough! The entire place is decorated with such love and style, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Nestled in the heart of the rainforest, this accommodation is absolutely breathtaking. Everything is very well organized, making it easy to relax and feel completely at home. The views from the casitas are stunning. We had the incredible experience of seeing toucans, hummingbirds, and coatis up close—truly a paradise! If you're looking for a memorable getaway filled with beauty and charm, this is the place to be!

Stunning location! Beautiful jungle and wildlife all around and very peaceful to relax. The room was stylish and had everything that was needed. The bed/linens were extremely comfortable. We had great sleeps there! Keith & Joe were wonderful hosts. They cooked us breakfast each morning and it was a pleasure to chat to them. They instantly made us feel at home 😊 thank you.

“A stay in Paradise”

A stay with Keith & Joe and you're in Paradise. Just everything, in the smallest details, is perfect. The surrounding and view at Nature's Edge is stunning (flowers, trees, birds). The apartment is very tasteful and luxurious equipped. The joint part with pool, kitchen equipment is beautiful positioned en relaxed. Joe makes delicious breakfast while Keith makes good conversation and keeps your coffee cup filled up. It's truly a Paradise.

What’s not to like? Beautifully furnished, all mod cons, gorgeous location, comfortable large bed, private sitting area, well equipped kitchen, large walk in shower etc, etc. Stunning

I was a tad worried about the drive up to Natures Edge but the road was actually in good condition & very easy to navigate although very steep in places. Joe met us on arrival with a cheery smile and a tour through the casita. The view was spectacular! A large king sized bed sat in prime position to capitalise on the view. Fans kept the property cool and the terrace had some comfy rocking chairs to while away the hours. The pool area was lovely with sunbeds and umbrellas combined once again with spectacular views! Toucans called everywhere and scarlet macaws flew overhead. The ranchero, the communal cooking area was stocked with everything you needed to cook and we enjoyed some evenings in, enjoying the peace and tranquility. Joe cooked a delicious breakfast and Keith served. Everyday varied and Joe proved to be an outstanding pastry chef! He made some unique breakfasts including goats cheese and red pepper quiche. He was also adaptable to his guests. The serenity was wonderful.  The bed was super comfy with quality linens. A beautiful place to stay , hosted by a couple of fab guys. Natures Edge certainly deserves its continuous high scores.

“Simply breathtaking place to stay!”

This place is Exceptional in every aspect, the rooms, the pool, the view, the facilities, your hosts Keith and Joe are tremendous hosts. We arrived a little early but our room was ready to go, Keith welcomed us on arrival and Joe gave us the lowdown on our room facilites and the pool and dining area. Our room "Heliconia" was situated overlooking the forrest and mountains and the view is simply breathtaking from the spacious Balcony! the room itself has been immaculately decorated and outfitted with everything you need and all is explained in great detail by Joe. The temperature at this elevation is perfect after having been down at sea level all day it makes all the difference, and simply negates the need for A/C in the evenings. you can simply leave your balcony door open (mosquito screen closed) at night and just let the sound of nature help you drift off to sleep! The pool area also has spectacular views overlooking the forrest and mountain area, the pool itself is actually a saltwater pool which we found amazing. no nasty chemicals involved! Breakfast here is tremendous with both Keith and Joe taking care of your every need and Joe was the expert cook behind a fresh, tasty and changing breakfast each morning. You can also have a good chat with them and other guests making it a very warm and personal experience for breakfast. Joe was also kind enough to deliver us a very tasty smoothie and Banana bread one morning as we left very early (05:45) for a tour one morning! During our stay just outside our room there was a Toucan that visited the tree right outside our room( it was even singing one eveing) and some Fiery billed Aricaris, even a group of howler monkeys in the trees, you truely feel right amongst nature up here away from the hustle and bustle of the main town Uvita. There is a reason this place was voted #1 in Costa Rica and you simply have to stay here to realise why! Without a doubt will stay here again when visiting Costa Rica...

“A piece of paradise!”

We are currently staying at Nature’s Edge in Costa Rica, in the beautiful Heliconia house, and it is truly an incredible experience. The views are absolutely breathtaking—lush greenery and stunning landscapes surround us, creating a peaceful and awe-inspiring atmosphere. The hosts are warm and attentive, always ensuring that we feel comfortable and well taken care of. In the morning, we enjoy a delicious and fresh breakfast that is both filling and beautifully prepared—a perfect start to the day. The Heliconia house is beautifully decorated with a balcony with the most beautiful view. The bed is incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax. One of the highlights of our stay is the incredible wildlife we can observe right from the house. It feels magical to watch beautiful toucans perched in the trees just outside—they are truly a sight to behold and add to the unique charm of this place. Nature’s Edge is everything we hoped for and more, offering a perfect combination of comfort, beauty, and tranquility.

Everything! I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It’s like a blend between luxury hotel, jungle camping, and a private villa. Natures Edge is more than just a hotel, it’s an experience. You fall asleep to the sound of the jungle all around you, and wake up to the most stunning sun rises, along with bird call and howler monkeys. The views over the jungle are incredible, and every morning we watched Toucans sit in a tree just metres from our balcony. At breakfast, hummingbirds hovered around the flowers beside the pool. There are only 4 bungalows, so it feels very private. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves for two days. And what can I say about Joe and Keith? The most lovely people. We spent part of our honeymoon here, and they decorated our bungalow and left Prosecco in the fridge. Just so lovely. They’ve also thought of everything here. From blue face flannels so white ones don’t get stained, to umbrellas. Those little touches have been really thought out. I honestly can’t recommend Nature’s Edge enough. It’s truly magical, and something quite unique. To be honest, you’d expect to pay twice what it costs. Amazing.

“Wonderful hosts, gorgeous location, restful stay.”

Beautiful location. Stunning in fact. My room faced over the forest and mountains and had Toucans each morning visit me as I had my coffee. Extremely comfortable, and Joe and Keith were delightful hosts.
