“Beautiful, peaceful, and easily one of the best places we’ve stayed.”

We had the most incredible stay at Canavida Villas in Uvita, honestly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The drive up is definitely an experience in itself and a real test of confidence (especially if you’re not used to those kinds of roads!) but it’s absolutely worth it. By the time we were leaving, a lot of the road had actually being flattened with a roller, which made things a bit easier but either way, the views at the top completely make it. The condos are perfect - spacious, beautifully laid out, and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. You could easily stay there for days without leaving, which is exactly what we did. They’ve thought of everything: gas BBQ, fridge freezer, hob, coffee machine, fresh coffee, cooking essentials… it just feels effortless being there. One thing I’d say to anyone booking - don’t make the mistake of only staying one night. We saw a few people do this and it honestly isn’t enough. We didn’t want to leave and could have stayed much longer. The wildlife was unbelievable. We saw so many different birds, macaws, toucans, howler monkeys and even stick insects, it really adds to how special the place feels. The pool area is peaceful and perfectly positioned with stunning views over Whale Beach in Uvita. The sunsets from there are something else. Communication before and during our stay was brilliant. Jonathan and Jess were especially welcoming and so helpful, sharing tips and making everything feel really easy from start to finish. Thank you for such a beautiful stay - we genuinely can’t wait to come back.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was very clean and the apartment was perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need. The view of the sea is absolutely beautiful and made our stay even more special. The hosts were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always helpful whenever we had a question. You can really feel that they care about their guests having a great experience. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this place!

“Best sunset in Uvita”

The property is amazing. To get there, you have to drive off road for a couple of km but we had no problem with 2WD. It was worth it. Communication with the host was fast and easy.

Location was incredible although it was a bit of drive (around 20min off road) it was totally worth it every time! The place had great vibes, the swimming pool had an amazing view over the sea and the stuff was super helpful and welcoming 🙏

“A getaway villa surrounded by nature”

Beautiful 2 bedroom villa with a lovely pool and amazing views of the sunset. We were surrounded by nature and had lots of birds visit - more than any other location we visited. Also go visit the Uvita waterfall for a fabulous natural water slide!

The property is stunning overlooking Uvita. I stopped in a condo and each one had a stunning view. There was so much wildlife surrounding the villas (Coatis, Capuchin Monkeys, many Toucans, Vultures and Macaws). Property was clean comfortable and well equipped. Hosts were on it too, and offered a service to deliver groceries/drinks if you didn't fancy the trip down the hill.

The location of the villa (we had the “kolibri lovenest”) was amazing! Great views over the sea and Forrest. Personal service was excellent and beyond our expectations.

Where to start …everything is great in those newly build condos. Well equipped kitchen, superb pool and views, and great staff. You can truly feel the love that has gone into building this place. We would definitely come back.

“Wonderful little piece of jungle paradise!”

The house is very comfortable with beautiful views to the sea and surrounded by the jungle. We loved watching and hearing the birds including toucans every day. The outdoor area is comfortable with plenty of seating in the shade if you want. Comfortable heads, good AC and well stocked kitchen. The provided coffee was a nice touch. The staff were available when needed. We slowed into a relaxed pace of life and loved our pool. We visited the NP beach and walked the whale tail at low tide, ate in and wandered around Uvita, visited a lovely soda in Ojochal and had a fantastic afternoon at the local Cararata falls. The kids loved jumping in off the platform! We used the BM supermercado which was well stocked. The drive to and from the property was fine and easy to do in a 4x4 but was a consideration as we only wanted to do it once a day.

“Excellent”

Fantastic location, the view was amazing. The apartment is well equipped and has everything needed for a great stay. The road in is 6km of really, really rough road. When we arrived we realised that there is no restaurants nearby and had to drive back down the really rough road to get some food.

“Paradise near Uvita!”

Beautiful place, a patch of paradise in Costa Rica. The view, the wildlife, the immaculate condos, and the staff went far beyond our expectations. We spent 6 weeks travelling all over Costa Rica and stayed in lots of different accommodations. Canavida was by far our favourite place! 😍

hard to get to the house due to long and difficult road

Beautiful modern home with lots of space. Amazing view overlooking the ocean. Tucans would visit daily. Kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and utensils. The owner is extremely helpful if you need anything at all.

“A view you will never get tired of”

The villa was stunning. The view alone is worth the long bumpy drive up the hill. The pool is beautiful and the house has everything that you need for a more than comfortable stay. We watched the sun set each night and we were gently wakened as it rose the next morning.

Canavida villas is a great value for money. The condos are super confortable with an amazing sea view, a big shared garden, pool and trampoline. The staff is great! We had an amazing time.
