We stayed at Swazi Dream Accommodation, a community-based project that raises funds to support local children, and it was a truly meaningful experience. This is not a luxury stay and it doesn’t try to be — instead, it offers everything you actually need: clean rooms, a comfortable bed, hot showers, and a peaceful atmosphere. What makes the place special is the heart behind it. Knowing that your stay directly supports kids in the community adds real value that no fancy lodge could replace. The setting is calm and welcoming, the people are kind and genuine, and you immediately feel that this is a place run with purpose and care. It’s simple, honest, and absolutely lovely. If you’re looking for an authentic stay that gives back, Swazi Dream is a wonderful choice.

“We absolutely loved! loved! loved! Staying at Swazi Dreams.”
We absolutely loved! loved! loved! staying at Swazi Dreams. We got the authentic feel of living in a Swazi homestead, albeit with some morden luxuries. Our host, Sizwe is just too wonderful to fully describe, he was so on point and readily available when needed. Talk about the braai experience he prepared us 👌👌👌👌👌. For me it was the spinach with ground peanuts he made which was like nothing i have ever tasted before. We hiked up the local mountain which gave great views of the valley. We would highly recommend spending at least 2 -3 nights to fully experience Swazi Dreams and surrounding local area.

“A place with a lot of potential”
Overall a great experience. The huts are very comfortable and traditional. The best way to experience Swazi culture. Sizwe is a master chef when it comes to Umcwembe/braai. We had a great time. The lodge has great potential

“Facilities were poor, but at least Sizwe tried hard to improve our stay.”
The host, Sizwe, was very friendly and accommodating. He informed us that the accommodation was a community project in collaboration with a UK NGO. Sizwe really tried to compensate for the lack of facilities. He went to nearby shop to buy toilet paper and lend us his home kettle to boil water.

“Overall a pleasant stay and a good way to connect with nature.”
We enjoyed the tranquility of the setting, and staying in the huts is a unique experience. The huts are well-equipped and quite spacious, and also well-kept. We had comfortable beds that were very clean with warm bedding (visited during winter). The area seemed quite safe (we were also reassured that it's safe) and there was little foot traffic from neighbouring properties. We appreciated the clear view of the galaxy. Malkerns town is not too far out, and Swazi Dreams is not too rural.

“You only rarely see those handmade huts, perfect work, really nice and quit place, the ideal spot”
Breakfast is still not served, as the main kitchen is not et ready built, but the outside kitchen worked perfectly for a really nice Braai package every evening. This place is really nice and more than well deserving more support. We brought an electrical water kettle for my wife's morning coffee and left it there.
