Overview
This hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas is idyllically set among green fields, mountains and the Urubamba River. It features luxury rooms with river views and several amenities. The 5-star Hotel Rio Sagrado is built in natural materials, resembling an Aldean village. Its stylish accommodation combines regional and European influences. Guests can also sit in the garden while having a drink by the river. Hotel Rio Sagrado is 5 minutes by car from Urubamba town and a 15-minute drive by car from Ollantaytambo Train Station. By train, it takes 1,45 hours to get to Macchu Picchu. The hotel provides a tour desk to help guests plan their visit.

A beautiful and peaceful property in the Sacred Valley with stunning gardens and nature all around. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, and the service felt very genuine. Waking up to birdsong and seeing the llamas on the grounds made our stay truly special.

“Amazing staff and hotel”
Everything about this hotel exceeded expectations. The location was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and did everything to make sure we had a great time. I planned an engagement at the hotel and they put me in touch with Alejandro who did everything to make sure it went perfectly, which it did. I'm so thankful to him and his team for making it so special.

“Sublime Experience in the Sacred Valley”
Brilliant, healthy hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff always going the extra mile. When we went out for the day and got back to our room we found a special restorative drink waiting for us. Such kind touches every day. Make sure to book the spa its free and you have it privately. In the jakuzzi under the stars was just fantastic and so relaxing.

“Amazing property with the best staff! Probably the best hotel in Valle Sagrado!”
The property is in an incredible location. The staff and the service is great: Nancy our guide, Mauricio our driver and the concierges who always helped us to find the best logistics. The fact that the Hiram Birgham train leaves directly from the hotel is a huge plus! (Avoiding the bimodal service). The garden and the rooms are amazing as well!

“Amazing”
Hands down one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. The location is breathtaking, right by the río Sagrado with stunning views from the rooms. The place is really an island of calm and comfort, in line with Belmond standards. Superb food, service, cleanliness and also an amazing team of therapists at the spa. Hope to be back soon. PS: The villa is just amazing, lovely fireplace, fantastic bathrooms and nice terrace. Bonus point is how the staff prepares the room on the evening, those water bags!

“The best 5-stars experience in the Sacred Valley”
1) Silent and peace: river and mountain view, fresh air and smell of flowers 2) Welcome drink de muña y laranja, toallitas frescas and delicious pastries waiting for us in the room 3) Awesome bathroom: shower with mountain and river view, warm floor 4) True actions towards Sustainability: recyclables bins and refil-based toiletries in the bathroom. Also drinkable still water in glass bottles in the room 5) Room with outdoor balcony with hortensia garden and comfort couches 6) Amazing Alpaca's feed experience, available at 8am and 4pm 7) Amazing breakfast and dinner with local dishes and fresh juices 8) Lovely staff

“Sacred Valley Haven”
Beautiful location with attentive and helpful staff. The room was great, with a good size bathroom and dressing area. The food was delicious with good authectic menu choices for all the family. Would definitely stay again!

Very peaceful and pleasant stay. Francisco was very helpful and Ana at the restaurant a delight. The security guard was very polite and watchful every time w left the property and upon reentering the property.
