Breakfast was great, simple but everything you could want. Bread delicious and enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice. Lovely view of cathedral from room and excellent location. Room tidy and clean.

Lovely old style hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and with a nice view of the river and cathedral. The breakfast room was charming and breakfast was amazing.

Delightful single bedroom with a lovely view. Quiet, comfortable and equipped with everything I needed for a lovely stay for my son’s graduation. This hotel really feels like a home from home, but in a fabulous central and beautiful location. Extra family members were willingly accommodated for breakfast. Help with printing tickets and great restaurant recommendations. I love this hotel and hope to have an opportunity to return.

A beautiful, old school hotel. All staff were friendy and helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beds comfortable. My view was of the canal and was just gorgeous; as was the breakfast room. The common areas are old school - think old velvet - and just beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

“Excellent location comfy room with great view and delicious breakfast”

The breakfast room was delightful with a really nice selection of foods - yogurt granola salmon meats cheeses delicious fresh bread. Our room was lovely and spacious overlooking the canal. The bar was very comfy and you could sit outside at a table in the spring evening with a drink. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Very good location close to station and short walk to shops and great cafes in the canals the castle and the cathedral.

Breakfast was excellent, and the breakfast room was beautiful with a wonderful view of the river. Location is excellent. Our room was also great - had a view of the river and the cathedral.

“A warm welcome in a great location”

The bed was very comfortable, the room well laid out, and the receptionist was very helpful in terms of recommending a nearby cafe for a quick lunch! I was also able to access my room early, as it happened to be available, which was much appreciated - the timing of my visit and work meetings meant I would otherwise only have been able to check in after dinner, so the flexibility was really kind.

Design of amenities is old-school and elegant, along with the style and decor of the place. Comfortable bed and cosy room. There is also an ironing board outside the rooms that is available for use. Staff are friendly, responsive and helpful.

Location was very central. Close to the University. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly. They even packed us a take away breakfast for our early trip out. Very nice.

Nice, well maintained, old style hotel. Good breakfast. Clean room, large desk, tea kettle + water. Great location near the river, close to train station. I like the bar in the hotel. Very comfortable bed.
