Breakfast was very tasty. Staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and available. A private tuktuk was available at all times. The rooms and the pool were beautiful and exceeded expectations.

This Place is amazing. The owners are amazing and we loved the pool and coconuts. A little too expensive but it’s worth it!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and couldn’t be happier with our experience. What impressed us the most was the closeness to nature — the peace, quiet, and overall atmosphere were simply perfect. The place is beautifully designed, very tasteful and aesthetically pleasing in every detail. The pool is amazing and truly unforgettable. The hosts are incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming people who made us feel at home from the very beginning. Every morning we were served delicious breakfasts — homemade, prepared with heart, and full of flavor. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for relaxation, beauty, and genuine hospitality.

The hotel had everything going for it. Beautiful gardens with pool, short walk to the beach. Both hosts, we're fantastic at looking after us both. The room was amazing, clean, spacious, and private.

We liked everything about this property. It was by far the nicest place, we stayed whilst travelling around Sri Lanka. The property is beautifully designed. It’s very spacious, spotlessly clean and is decorated in a modern stylish way. The kitchen is particularly well equipped with everything you might need including a washing machine. Even the washing powder was provided! The location is a real plus. There are lush gardens surrounding the accommodation and the setting is both peaceful and relaxing. The pool area is very inviting but we spent most of our time during the day at the beach which is just a ten minute walk away. In the evening, the owners put us in touch with a Tuk Tuk driver who took us wherever we wanted to go at a reasonable price. There are a number of lovely places to eat close to the beach and Unawatuna itself has a wide choice of restaurants and bars. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We were very sorry to leave!

The location was lovely, the grounds were well kept and spectacular. There were monkeys in the trees and beautiful birds flying around. It was peaceful and tranquil with a very chilled atmosphere. The staff team were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them. The owner was attentive and helpful, he booked trips for us and helped in whatever way he could. Everything was clean and fresh and well cared for. We had a wonderful holiday.

The pol was nice. Also the balcony with hammock. Bed was super comfortable.

“A peaceful and beautiful experience”

Extraordinary setting with well maintained garden and pool and in particular very beautiful architecture. The owner and staff are very helpful and kind. It is obvious that they are all proud of the place and put extra love to keep it a great experience for the guests. We also had better sleep than in any other hotel on Sri Lanka thanks to nice beds, sheets and comfy temperature. We would have loved to stay longer if the place was not fully booked.

“A peaceful, nature filled haven”

It was peaceful and quiet staying here, with so much wildlife in the gardens, I saw 2 peacocks, many birds, langue monkeys who played in the trees and on my rooftop (too shy to come onto the balcony) and many water monitors. The villas are very private and the balcony offers sea views from 2 directions, as well as a much appreciated sea breeze thanks to its position at the top of the hill. I booked this place for the pool, and to be able to cook. The pool was just perfect, always quiet and so clean. Tiron was always on hand if you needed anything, including removing a very large spider from the kitchen when I came down one night to prepare dinner.

The property was clean and tidy and better western standards than others we stayed in.

Our stay at Wija house was absolutely super - such a beautiful house in the middle of the jungle! I was working remotely from there for a week and the wifi was very good! We had a cleaning lady coming in once during our stay to clean and freshen the house !

We loved the location of Wija House. Very quiet, great views from a lovely private balcony. Lovely spacious accommodation. The host was always very helpful and attentive and made every effort to make our stay comfortable. We wish could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend.

The place was super comfortable and very clean! Location is perfect to have some peacefulness and is about a 10 - 15 min drive from the beach! The bathrooms are newly built clean and super water pressure! The caretaker was very accommodating and friendly. The place was above and beyond expectation.
