“It caused me a lot of stress and problems finding new places last second.”
Owner found me on watsapp and wrote, that they have SMALL problems with water and I should cancel. It happened, when I already should be coming. In the end of the day they didn’t cancel, so after all happened, I was cancelling and asking not to take cancellation fee, which is ridiculous!

Friendly staff, nice breakfast and the room is spacious and beautifully designed. The house is a small walk from town and the beach, we really enjoyed this as it was quiet and close to a walk to the hill. The manager helped us beeing flexible with the booking and fixed any issues we had while staying.

The room and bathroom were huge, nice location near the beach, restaurants and shops. Quiet and clean. bed was comfortable. The host is very friendly. I am sure this will be a very nice place in the future but still some progress to make.

“All good, highly recommend”
It was an excellent stay at Chanaka’s place. The location is perfect - in the middle of Unawatuna near the beach, walking distance, lots of places around like cafes and restaurants, but the location is in the quiet place - right what we needed. The place looks even better than in photos - it’s very fresh and stylish. I wish all the luck to the hosts for their place 🙏🏾

Our part of villa was spacious and clean. Breakfast included toast with butter and jam, a fruit plate, and eggs. The staff were friendly. The location is near the beach, cafes, restaurants, and shops.

“Nice modern looking accommodation short walk to beach and Unawatuna.”
Massive family room (two bedrooms, big bathroom and balcony), nice lighting and very homely. Super clean and delicious breakfast. Loads of plugs and space to put your things (tables, cupboard, drying rack etc). Location amazing, a short 10 minute walk to the beach or main street of Unawatuna. You can easily walk to places or get a short tuk tuk. Galle is a 30 minute bus away.

“Fantastic Stay at Mealanie's House in Unawatuna”
I had an amazing experience at Mealanie's House in Unawatuna. The room was impeccably clean and well-maintained, offering ample space and all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. The hotel owner was exceptionally kind and attentive, making sure we had a pleasant time during our stay. One of the highlights of the hotel's location is its proximity to the beach, which allowed us to easily access the beautiful shoreline whenever we wanted. Additionally, there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, making it convenient to explore the area and indulge in local cuisine and souvenirs. The peaceful atmosphere of the hotel and its surroundings created a serene environment, free from any disturbances, ensuring a restful stay. “Damp and lacking any kind of customer service”
The Hot shower was a plus but everything else from the service to breakfast was not good.
