Greate hotel located in walking distance to city center. Garage is nice to have in winter time though the lots are made for smaller cars so some cars might not be able to park. The room was nice and spacious but a bit out dated, could be that some things might be missing like blinding curtains, the staff was great and helped out quickly. Breakfast was great, plenty to choose from and seating area is also good.

Arrived here late but luckily the reception is open until 24:00. Room was really nice and the breakfast was great, with loads of options. It is near different car parking options if you are driving.

I called a few hotels in the city trying to request an early checkin, as my train to Umeå was to arrive very early in the morning. Scandic offered the smartest policy for an early checkin, staff was really helpful compared to other hotels that I called, and there were bikes for rent at the hotel, so I didn’t hesitate with my reservation. My room had a beautiful panoramic view and was spacious. Breakfast was good and was generously served until 11 am which was just great, letting more time to sleep. I was very happy with my choice and my stay in Umeå.
