“unforgettable experience”

Accommodation close to the center and very elegant. The room is cleaned daily and the breakfast is very good. The plus of this accommodation is given by the hotel manager who made our stay in the hotel an unforgettable experience. We had the chance to eat dinner at the hotel, prepared by an extraordinary chef, the food being exceptional, surpassing several restaurants in different locations in Montenegro rated with high marks on tripadvisor. At the same time, the hotel is a family business and also owns a cellar with very good wines, their own production. We highly recommend it. Thank you once again.

“Great location, spotless beautiful rooms and fantastic host”

Vicky was the most amazing host she went out of her way to make our stay lovely. We opted to have an evening meal at the hotel and were so pleased we did - we tried the wine (made by the owner) and his personal chef cooked for us. It was such a fantastic feast we asked for her to cook again - see photos of the fish - sea bass with sauce, potatoes, mussel risotto, fish soup (im usually not keen but loved this) and salad (which was so lovely). A really incredible meal ! Vicky organised a massage for me it was the best massage i ever had - and ive had loads! Thank you for your hospitality Vicky we will always remember our time in Ulcinj with great fondness.

Wonderfully located hotel near old town , walkable to beach front and amenities. Well furnished spacious rooms , very clean and tidy. Great breakfast ! Vildana was a very attentive host, helping suggest various places to visit. Fantastic stay would come again and recommend to anyone staying around Ulcinj.

The hotel was impeccable and Viki, the hostess was remarkable. Everything about our stay was perfect. Great breakfast, awesome gym, lovely clean room and most importantly, a gracious and caring hostess. Viki was truly incredible. She was attentive and offered us advice on the town. Even when I was feeling unwell, she looked after me. Thankyou Viki, we feel blessed having met you.

What a wonderful stay at this gorgeous property - from the moment we walked in to the moment we left, everything possible was done to make our stay super comfortable and enjoyable. We were there towards the end of the season, but the attention to detail and high work ethic of the owner and his team was evident from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, breakfasts were lovely with local goodies included alongside the usual breakfast fare. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant a few times, there wasn't a restaurant menu as such, but the hotel manager Vicki quickly found out what our preferences were and suggested dishes of fish, pasta and steak cooked by the fabulous on-site cook which were fresh, plentiful and delicious. Added to this were the first-class wines from the owner's estate (Barrique was our favourite). Rooms are spotless and beautifully decorated, designed to high spec by the owner. We spent time at the lovely pool, and also at the small pebble beach just below the hotel, which is run by one of the other hotels nearby, with sun loungers at that time of year €20 for 2 people. There is a nice cafe there offering drinks and food, so you can spend the day quite easily and have everything you need on hand. We didn't want to leave Barjaktar, and Vicki and Ranko's tips, advice, kindness and efforts were so appreciated, thank you!

The hotel employee was already awaiting us when we were parking the car and immediately navigated to the right spot in the underground garage. Check in was smooth and the receptionist helped us with our luggage to the room. She then guided us through the hotel and instructed where to find common facilities such as a swimming pool, gym, jacuzzi, wine room, etc. , . Barjaktar offers a high standard in its category not only because of its equipment and services, but also because of the pleasant atmosphere created by the employees, who are on one hand highly professional and on the other hand friendly and helpful in solving any questions and problems. We highly appreciate the cleanliness of the facility, the location near cozy beach and the family atmosphere. Thank you for your care during our stay !

“Beautiful hotel in a great location.”

What a beautiful hotel the Barjaktar is. We had a really good 4 night stay here. The staff are amazing and couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Viki is lovely and offered lots of advice and booked us a nice restaurant on our first night. Tonight is our last night, and it will be sad to leave. We stayed in a junior suite, which had a sea view and a pool view and was nice and shaded. We also had a meal in the hotel which was delicious, homemade soup and then steak for the main course, washed down with the Barjaktar's own homemade red wine, which was superb. I've had 2 bottles while here! The hotel pool is perfect and really welcoming in the hot sun. The hotel location is perfect for us as it's on the edge of the old town and therefore nice and quiet. But just a 5 minute walk into the old town, which had lots of lovely restaurants. The main town had more lively bars with louder music, and you can see it was getting ready for the main tourist season in July. Not for us, so glad we came in June. Overall, I can't recommend the Barjaktar highly enough. If you are coming to Ulcinj, then stay here!

For the price of a single room in a four-star hotel, the "Barjaktar" offers a large, well-equipped, beautifully decorated suite with a spacious, luxurious bathroom. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

The Service was great! All Hotel employees give their best to supporting us in all needs. For whatever we ask, we get i quickly. The Hotel room and the whole Hotel was clean, we feel really confortable. The dierect view to the sea was great, we had great holidays.

We had a very warm welcome and were given a tour around the hotel. Straight away some suggestions were given on what to see and to do in Ulcinj. Our room was spacious and very clean and modern, was cleaned well every day. A/C unit was working well. We had a nice balcony with a view of the sea. Breakfast was amazing, fresh and with a variety of options, both local and international - also with a view to the sea. The hotel has a nice pool and also a rooftop jacuzzi, two saunas and a gym that were cleaned well. The location is very good, a few steps from the old town but still far enough that it is away from all the noise of the nightlife. We had a parking space under the hotel in a safe and spacious parking garage. As we understood the hotel owner also has a winery and we tried some very good local wines at the hotel bar with some great stories from the owner. We were treated very well for the 3 nights we spent there and the stay exceeded our expectations! Thank you!

The hotel staff at this location are exceptional and go well above and beyond hotel services. I've been at extremely high paid luxury resorts across the planet and never encountered such hospitality and custom tailored experience. Maybe it was because it is not high season for tourism, but if theyre able to keep that up even during the high season it is incredible. The food there is fantastic, their homemade wine is incredible, a stunning room (presidential suite) - visitng Ulcinj is a real gem as well. I came here with some friends just to have a random weekend getaway from Podgorica and I was not dissapointed. I highly suggest you should stay at this hotel if you are coming to Ulcinj. It is right on the back of oldtown - getting to the main beach is easy. Just expect to walk a bit uphill!

Newly refurbished, very clean, nicely designed, comfortable bed, very friendly helpful staff, perfect location, excellent breakfast with a lovely sea view.
