“Our comfiest stay in Japan”

We loved our stay at Farolito. We stayed in the private twin room and our beds were the comfiest we stayed in during our month in Japan. The owners were also very welcoming and kind and the neighbourhood was peaceful and full of interesting shops, cafes and restaurants. Would highly recommend Farolito to anyone looking for a relaxing couple of days in a rural environment that is easily reachable from Yufu or Fukuoka by train.

A very comfortable tradicional Japanese house. The front side of the house is a cozy Cafe of the host. My staying here makes me very relaxed. Room is spacious and window could be open with fresh air. Worth to come again.

“Comfortable place to stay with excellent hosts”

It was very comfortable within this beautiful building. The beds had chargers, light and a shelf and the room wasn’t full of beds. Downstairs was very accommodating. The patio outside was also a nice place to sit and relax in the evening. To top it off the couple were so kind, made an excellent coffee and had great music taste.

A rustic B&B, intertwined with heritage structure and modernized amenities, in which I found my comfort from bed, room space to communal facilities. Everything was kept super duper clean. Impressive! The humble couple running the place have the drive to chat with whoever comes to their cosy restaurant. I especially loved to have sake toasts at night listening to the foreign language chats. And the food there, though fusion, is a must-try. The pretty lady owner preparing the food has a knack for what really melts tastfully in mouth!

Farolito and the town of Ukiha were a much needed oasis for me after a week of being in big cities. The atmosphere of the cafe was great, and the food was so delicious. On the two nights I was there, it was actively visited by locals who seem to come for conversation with visitors as much as for the food and drink. That made for a fun atmosphere where you can connect with the spirit of the town. The owners are really kind people who have done an amazing job with the place, and I think are living their dream :-)

“Wonderful stay in a beautiful hostel”

This hostel is a real gem! Very friendly owners, a old house that has been beautifully renovated, in a nice neighborhood. And the meals and breakfast are delicious. We came here by accident, but had a wonderful stay.

Everything was perfect. the staff was so kind, the breakfast they offer was delicious, the facilities were super clean and nice. The hostel was 5 minutes from the train station, and the neighborhood was so nice. we definitely would like to stay again.
