Too many cats and smells awful! We couldn‘t stay there.

“Fantastic home stay!”

Authentic Japanese home stay. The couple who own the place are lovely; very welcoming and kind, but also leave you to your own space. Good sized room to sleep and relax in. Futon type bedding stored in cupboard in the room to put out at night time. Food option was fantastic! Home cooked meal served in the room (¥1000 pp) for dinner and breakfast (¥500 pp. Delicious and lots of it!

“perfect”

I loved the warm welcome after a day cycling (partly under the rain), the host, a lovely woman, had prepared a hot tea and the bath for me which was full and hot. Dinner 1000¥ and breakfast 500¥ were perfect. Thank you so much!

I dont normally write reviews but this one is outstanding. Backpackers price but you get a traditional 旅館 experience. The room is huge and sleeping on a futon definitely felt different.

So, this is a special review as we did not stay there. We decided to look for another option after seeing the room. I think the room is ok and the owners are nice. You just have to be aware that you will ahve limited privacy with living really with a family and sharing the bathroom with them. After staying mainly in 4 star hotels in Japan this was just too much of a change in comfort and privacy.

The countryside experience was wonderful! We got a traditional dinner for 500Yen per Person and they took us to the train station at our departure. Such a lovely couple.

“Definitely we will stay here again”

We had dinner 3 times, The dishes were phenomenal, and one of best I’ve had in Fukuoka. Our room was tidy and spacious. The hosts were kind and welcoming.

“Pleasant stay for a night”

Couple was very friendly. Uses an iPad for language translation. Tonkatsu dinner was very tasty and tempura as well. Was given a tour of the garden and the pottery house next door.

The hosts are just amazing. They helped me so much in planning my onward journey despite the language barrier. I’m very greatful to them. They welcomed me in even though i was soaking wet after cycling in the rain all day. It was the best place to arrive, warm up and relax. They also offered a fantastic meal (500 Yen extra) which was very nice

Lovely traditional room and super friendly hosts. Even offered a pick up from the station as I arrived late. A bit away from the train station if travelling by train,but thanks to the hosts this did not present an issue for me. Would definitely visit again.

Very warm reception even though we don’t speak a lot of Japanese. The dinner was AMAZING for ¥1000 and they even gave us a free breakfast. One of our favourite stays!
