It is a beautiful very well curated property. Aesthetics are beautiful . Food was very good. Staff is very well spoken. Facilities are good . Overall a great experience

“Luxurious and central”

The hotel was a 5 star hotel. Room very luxurious with snacks and bottled water. Cleaned daily and only a 10 minute walk to the old town.

“Bad experience”

When I arrived at the Hotel, I was told I have no booking. I insisted I made a booking well in advance in January and also spoke to the Hotel on the 13th Feb, reconfirming I was coming. After a lot of pushing and shoving, the reception finally got a senior manager, who verified that the booking was made on the 5th Jan, bust some how it was seen in their system as booked and cancelled on 14th Feb. They had no rooms left and had a marriage party who booked many rooms. This explains why they cancelled our booking and gave it away to others who needed more rooms. This is very unprofessional and unethical. We still used Booking.com to get another hotel in town. Surprisingly the very hotel that Swaroop Vilas said had no vacancy, as they called the Hotel, pretending to help us.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful when we checked in. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable and had plenty of bottled water. The housekeeping staff were all very friendly and happy to hand over extra bottles of water and instant coffee when needed. Breakfasts were OK – good buffet of fruit and various Indian breakfast dishes – and they would prepare eggs and toast on demand. Only instant coffee was available, and the fruit juices were out of cartons, but they did have a plentiful supply of strong tea. The same restaurant does Indian food by night (called the Heritage or something like that), and we ate there on the night we arrived. I have to say it was probably the nicest meal I ate while I was in Udaipur. I had a ‘Rajasthani Chicken’ which was delicious, quite spicy and had just the right level of heat for me. My wife had Dhal Makhani which she found too hot (it was slightly hotter than the chicken but I found it quite tasty). We had various breads as well and they were all very good.

The location of the property is literally a dream! It's in the middle of everywhere you would want to go in Udaipur, You can catch a ride within minutes, Close your eyes and you have arrived. The Beds were comfy, The service was great and the Staff was super friendly!

The food was not upto the mark…few items were good but didn’t like the taste of some items.
