Very convenient location, all the facilities were clean and with attention to detail. The staff of the hotel was very helpful during the whole staying but also arranged our transportation to the next cities.

“Good Option”

The stay at Manuscript was pleasant. Beautiful views everywhere, it is amidst the old town of Udaipur, so we were surrounded with lovely old time houses and the city palace was just behind the property. The location is the highlight of this stay, cause city palace and Lake Pichola are just walking distance and these two have to be our favourite places at Udaipur. Everything else is easily accessible via Uber taxis and autos. The room size was decent, we were provided with an extra cot for our 7 year old, which compromised slightly with the room size. A small window with sofa, overlooking the scenic view outside was my favourite highlight of the room. Special mention has to be made of the amazing collection of books provided by the hotel - it is mesmerizing and it is quite tempting to just cozy up by the window with your cup of coffee and keep reading. The night view of the city palace is also amazing from the terrace. The restaurants are decent, though pricey. The breakfast spread was Good and tasty with multiple options. The staff was extremely polite and considerate. Overall, a perfect amalgamation of Heritage meets modern..

By far the best accommodation of our entire India trip. After some rougher segments, this felt like a real treat. The location is excellent, close to the center but removed from the chaos, which makes a big difference in Udaipur. The entrance is stunning, with lush plants and elegant stairs that immediately set the tone. The service is outstanding, genuinely on par with a world-class hotel. The entire property is beautiful, with great attention to detail. The restaurant (dore) was another highlight, serving the best food and cocktails we had in Udaipur. The pool is amazing, and the view of the City Palace is simply incredible. The staff were consistently attentive and also created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. The room itself was fantastic, extremely comfortable and with a real sense of luxury, you genuinely feel a bit like royalty staying there. We would absolutely come back and stay longer next time.

Wonderful location with views from the pool to the City Palace. We liked the stepped entrance and the flautist in the courtyard in the morning. The place had a great ambience and had some nice details. Great air conditioning, good amounts of hot water. We benefited from late check out.

I’d highly recommend Manuscript (10/10) if you’re visiting Udaipur. The food, service, rooms, and overall aesthetics of the hotel were absolutely amazing. Honestly, the only good food we had in Udaipur was at their restaurant, Dore, everything else we tried at the so-called “hyped” places in Udaipur was really disappointing. The cocktails were beautifully presented, and the rooftop is stunning, with a breathtaking view of the City Palace. Coming from Stockholm, I can confidently say the cocktails were top-notch. Whoever is managing this place knows what they are doing! The property is perfectly located in the city centre, everything from the main markets to the palaces is within walking distance. We had three cars with us, and the staff made parking completely hassle-free, which was a huge plus. Don’t miss this place,great price, great location, and an all-around fantastic experience! A special shoutout to Tulsi and Gunpal for being incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay….truly lovely people.

“A lovely hotel for a comfortable stay, very near City Palace.”

This is a beautifully designed hotel with a great view on the back of the palace and a rooftop terrace. It's quiet, with spacious rooms and great bathrooms (massive walk-in showers). Beds were comfortable, check-in staff very helpful, swimming pool is clean and refreshing. Lunch / dinner options are very tasty, 99% North Indian. Bar offers a good selection of drinks.
