The staff was super friendly, it was no problem that we arrived at 23:00 o'clock. Breakfast was perfect, room clean and the location just in the centre.

“Uberlingen 1 night stay”

The hotel was a quite traditional inside in general, but the dinning area was a pleasant surprise and so comfortable and modern. It was on a street that is very quiet later in the evening, so no noise at night that I noticed. We had breakfast booked, but not an evening meal, after looking around down the town we opted to try the hotel restaurant instead and it was an outstanding food experience. Backed up by other reviews that were left and we read to help us choose. The staff were excellent and helpful at all times with any request. Parking was free and available and at weekends another parking area can be used too, if the 8 spaces at the back of hotel are occupied when you arrive.

A lovely family Hotel atmosphere with personal service. The lady couldn't be more helpful and gave us a recommendation for a lovely restaurant. The position in the town is great and very quiet.

“We found this an ideal hotel for our three-night stay in Überlingen”

Copied from my Tripadvisor review: We spent three nights at the Bürgerbräu in early August and really enjoyed it. The building is picturesque and old from the outside but modern and stylish inside. It is a few minutes' walk from everything you are likely to want to see in Überlingen - the Landungplatz by the lake, the extensive Stadtgarden, the old minster, the many restaurants, shops and so on. There is a car park behind the hotel. We spent time exploring the town, swimming in the lake and using Überlingen as a base from which to visit some other places near Lake Constance . Our room was spacious and was perfectly clean. There was a safe in the wardrobe. We had plenty of space for our luggage. There was a sofa, an armchair and a table as well as a desk. Lighting was good so there was no difficulty reading in bed. The bed was firm but the pillows were large and soft (which seems to be typical in Germany); on our second morning we asked for some additional pillows which were provided that day. Breakfast was very good. It was a buffet with a variety of fresh bread, with ham, cheese, jam, fruit and so on. Coffee was from a machine. We were given freshly boiled eggs each morning. Apart from breakfast, the restaurant seems to be open only for special events and on Sundays lunchtimes. As we arrived on Sunday early in the afternoon we decided to eat there. It was a fixed menu of tapas dishes which was expensive but absolutely exquisite, some of the best "fine dining" food I have had in Germany. Service throughout our stay was excellent - professional and welcoming. We wished we had been staying a little longer and hope to come back.

The room was very clean, well presented and comfortable. The guys running it were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good, sorry again for making a mess of the coffee machine.

Beautiful hotel, traditional on the outside but sympathetically renovated inside. Everything was very clean and the owners had thought of every small detail.

“Exceptional!”

Everything! This place is exceptional. You can tell the owners love what they do from the minute you receive their extremely warm welcome. We came on motorbike and were offered parking around the side of the building on hard standing floor (the main car park is gravel) or even the option to use their parking garage, all greatly appreciated. The parking was also free! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms modern and clean. We had a room at the front of the building with windows on two sides which opened fully which was great. Breakfast was perfect (really great coffee!) and their restaurant room is beautiful, along with the shop they operate from there. Honestly, a stunning building and fantastic hosts! I wish we'd stayed longer.

The member of staff that greeted me on arrival was very friendly, helpful and informative. The breakfast was very good, a nice range of things to choose from, cheese, hams, jams and I liked that a range of products from the shop was available at breakfast, they were delicious.
