This unexpected stay during my hiking adventure through Norway was one of the highlights of my trip. I booked the place literally ten minutes before arriving, as I couldn’t find a suitable spot for camping — and it was so worth it. Absolutely lovely owner and staff — so friendly and warmly welcoming. The whole place feels like something out of a magical Norwegian storybook, surrounded by beautiful traditional decorations and cosy details. And the food — oh, the food! Homemade pizza, freshly made waffles, and their own apple juice put me straight into heaven. As a solo traveller, I had a whole room with four beds just for myself — warm, cosy, and super clean. The bathrooms were spotless too. The lady was so kind; she even let me leave my backpack at the property after check-out while I went shopping in the nearby villages. I highly recommend this place — even if you don’t stay overnight, you must try their pizza! 🍕

We expected an "ok" overnight lodging with a bit run down facilities, but the stay exceeded expectations. This place is really nice, as far as a tourist trap as you can get. Sure, the buildings are a bit like a private or DNT cabin, with simple furnishings and wood panelling), and the toilets are an outhouse. But the rooms and common areas are cozy, and clean. There are showers and wash rooms. The best part though was the food. Pizza properly made, bread and foccachia from the ground up. The home made chocolate ice cream was to die for.

The warm and unbelievable frienly manor of the owners is incredible. Yes there where only „plumsklo“ but the rest was that astonishing good,that the toilets do not matter at all …..thanks for a remarkable stay at a Place where tourists are treated Like Friends .😀🇳🇴

The host made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Cosy, rustic hut with a nice common area with a fireplace. Tasty and filling breakfast with bread, various yoghurts, cereal, warm rolls, waffles and boiled eggs. Delicious coffee and juices. For dinner we had a lovely lasagne together with a fresh salad and home baked focaccia followed by a divine chocolate cake served with coffee. Dinner time was adjusted to fit our return from a longer hike - this was truly appreciated. Great service all way through. Can't wait to be back at a later occasion.
