“Wonderful! I recommend it to anyone coming to Tunis.”
Location is perfect. It is in the medina, but not far from main street where you can call texi. Host is very friendly. Although I don't speak French and she doesn't speak English, she is always providing help where I need it. There is a terrace with panoramic view of Medina. It is really nice up there.

“Very good, we loved Dar Hamouda Guest House”
We stayed for 4 nights at Dar Hamouda Guest House and loved it. It's very well located in a beautiful area of the Medina and, at the same time, close to a street where you can catch a taxi. Dar Hamouda is beautiful, our room was clean and very pleasant, and the owners are very welcoming. We highly recommend it.

The host was incredibly accommodating, offering excellent recommendations for local sights and dining. The facility itself is beautifully appointed and freshly renovated. Its prime location allows for easy exploration of many wonderful places on foot.

Hotel Dar Hamouda is basically an empty house with no reception on site, only a French phone number available… The street is extremely noisy, with cafés downstairs and two mosques right next to it. The entrance stairs are very inconvenient with luggage. The check-in was late and not welcoming at all. No possibility to pay by card, and on top of that, I was given a different room than the one I booked. The room was small and dark, with stained carpets, the soap and toilet paper were already used. Early in the morning, it was impossible to sleep because of the loud noise coming from the dining area just in front of the room. Breakfast was mediocre and poor. Overall, a very disappointing experience – I definitely do not recommend this place.

“Beautiful dar in the best part of Tunis Medina”
Dar Hamouda is a charming historical dar in the best and liveliest part of the Medina of Tunis. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom modern. The hosts (Mrs. Amel and her husband) were wonderful and very helpful. We particularly liked the joint breakfast where you could meet and talk to other guests at the dar. This is always a good opportunity to exchange experiences and meet people when travelling.

“Our stay was wonderful”
This used to be a family home which has been converted to a guest house. It is spacious, beautiful, well cared for and a fabulous location in the Medina. The terrace has a beautiful view of the Medina and surrounding City. Staff were very helpful and friendly. As were the locals. Everyone was most helpful.
