“Amazing experience, bad timing”

The property is absolutely enormous and exploring it on the free bike was a lot of fun! The lagoon was great with free activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking and the cenote was beautiful. The wildlife (pigs!) were a real highlight, there were birds, bugs and all sorts to see. The buildings and layouts felt really authentic and the room had a wow factor when we walked in. The staff were really friendly and attentive, in particular one of the waitresses noticed my partner wasn’t feeling well and went out of her way to help out which was absolutely wonderful.

Quiet paradise with fantastic location in the middle of nature. The grounds are massive which means there is lots to explore (cenotes with guided tour) and various locations for a swim. The locations is tidy/clean and the staff very friendly. 10/10 would recommend for a quiet retreat!

Middle in the jungle but with a very high level of comfort. Beautiful architecture everywhere. Lots of activities to choose from. For people that like comfort, nature and beauty.

“Perfect!!”

Wowww. Wakax hacienda is such a special and beautiful place hard to describe in words. Its unique atmosphere, perfect architecture, every little detail is carefully crafted. The staff are so welcoming and super helpful. The food is top level and prices are good. Utilities and attractions across the hacienda from tours with David to pools and lagunas are all perfect and well organised. Wakax hacienda thinks of every little detail and given the size of the hacienda it is remarkable! This is a world’s top class place to stay in and we are very happy that we chose it!!

I was travelling with my family including 3 teenagers. The property had something for everyone. The pools were fantastic. The tour of the property and cenote with David were a nightlight, we learnt a lot!

We were unlucky that on our first night, our neighbours were unfortunately loud late at night. When we complained, the hotel went above and beyond and gave us our own secluded rooms away from the previous rooms. This is exceptional client service and would definitely return. Food was delicious, a real escape from the Riviera Mayan resort feel.

Everything. The room was incredible, the staff were brilliant. They quietly went about their business but were super friendly and attentive. The food was divine! The hotel grounds are incredible and I really enjoyed the yoga classes. David, the activities coordinator was fantastic and really made our trip. We did the bicycle tour and the underground river tour. I was a little nervous of the river tour but he was brilliant with me and put me at ease throughout and I’m so pleased I did it.

“Fantastic Experience”

This was one of the best places we stayed in Mexico. Our room was gorgeous, the grounds were expansive, and there is so much to see and do. Even the food at the onsite restaurant was excellent. We visited in early March and there was almost nobody at the resort the whole time. We basically got the (large, stunning) pool to ourselves for an entire day.

We did a 3 month Trip through mexico and this was the best hotel we stayed at. We were in the offseason so it was affordable and realy quiet. A magical Place!

“A tranquil and luxurious escape from the hectic town of Tulum, with the most comfortable rooms.”

Set in the jungle near Tulum, there are three pools, and a gorgeous green lagoon with bar and food service and extremely comfortable lounging, paddle boards and kayaks. We did both tours with the amazing Gonzo; Cenote underground water tour and the Mayan Village Tour on bikes. These were the highlights of our vacation so do not miss -- our older teens just loved them! During our stay we saw iguanas, bats, giant spiders, and a boa constrictor. Note, there were no crocs in the lagoon! There were three options for the included breakfast (plus a fruit bowl, granola, honey and yogurt, coffee and a fresh juice). Options were pancakes or waffles with maple syrup, eggs and bacon with salad, or a traditional Mexican chiquillies with an egg and green or red salsa. Each of our family had a different preference for breakfast which we enjoyed. Breakfast was so filling we could last until late afternoon until our next meal. As we had rented a car we visited nearby Akumal and Puerto Aventuras for meals (another traveler recommended AVIS for car rental). We spent four nights at Wakax. If you have a car, I suggest a three night stay so you can do both tours. BTW, if you have claustrophobia you may not like the cenote tour. The bikes are great fun, staff and owners are very friendly, the rooms are huge and right out of a glossy travel magazine, and the setting is out of this world!

“A paradise on earth”

A paradise on earth! The whole eco resort is beautiful. It has 2 cenotes (one open and one underground river) and one lagoon with a cascade where you can take a kayak and go around. We managed to swim at night in the open cenote :). When you book you also have a cave tour with the guide Gonzalo included for free. He is truly amazing - very knowledgeable and fun. He brought us into the caves and explained every single detail of the nature and animals you can find there. The food at the restaurant is freshly cooked when you order. We also got a free upgrade from a room to a junior suite with two private terraces. The interior design is also stunning and the rooms are huge. They also give you bikes and throughout the resort towels are available near the many swimming pools It is a jungle dream, quiet, romantic and relaxing Highly recommended
