My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon here. The room was exceptional, with ocean view and our private mini pool, which was really a perk. The front desk staff and the staff at the restaurant and beach club were extremely kind and professional - they even gifted us a welcome bottle of wine to celebrate! A special mention to the restaurant: the dishes we tasted were indeed great - loved the octupus. Overall the experience at this hotel went above and beyond what we expected and we were glad to spend our honeymoon here

Rooms were gorgeous, cleaned and tidied twice a day - so spacious with stunning facilities! The hotel wasn’t too busy making it a lovely chilled vibe. Breakfast unreal. Service generally was incredible!

We had a wonderful stay and can highly recommend this hotel! The staff was incredibly attentive, kind, and always ready to help, which made us feel truly welcome from the first moment. The facility itself is amazing — beautiful, very comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Our room was gorgeous and equipped with everything one could need. We especially appreciated the generous number of towels, which is a small detail but made a big difference for us. The food was excellent, and we loved the option to have breakfast delivered to our room at no additional cost. Enjoying breakfast on our beautiful balcony was a real highlight of our stay. While the hotel is on the pricier side, it is absolutely in line with Tulum prices, and you really get something special for your money. The beach area is very nice as well, with great service that made it easy to relax and enjoy our time. Thank you again for this wonderful stay — we would definitely love to come back!

“Third stay here, still my favourite place in Tulum”

This was our third time at Ma’xanab. I’m happy to say that it still delivers excellent service, ultra friendly staff, delicious food and one of the best private beach spots in Tulum. The front desk basically booked my entire itinerary for bars and restaurants at only the best places. I will be returning for the 4th time soon.

Beautiful small hotel on the most stunning beach, small pool but the best part was that its temperature was perfectly regulated and cool so you’re able to cool down in it from the heat and humidity! (as other Tulum hotel pools are just too warm and so your not able to cool down!) The most delicious food, fish tacos were absolutely divine! Breakfast was perfect! Reception staff were super kind!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Maxanab in Tulum – everything was perfect from start to finish! Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and made us feel right at home. The whole property is stunning, and the day beds at the beach were elegant, comfortable, and ideal for relaxing. The food was another highlight – we enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning and even had a light lunch one day, which was excellent as well. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the amazing staff. From the reception to the kitchen and service team, everyone was so friendly and attentive. A special thank you to Hermelindo and José, who brightened our mornings with their positivity and energy, and to Mario, who greeted us every day at the beach with a big smile and shared great tips for the rest of our trip. Additionally, my girlfriend got a bottle of wine for her 30th birthday which was already two weeks ago. We felt completely at ease and well taken care of throughout our stay – can’t recommend this place enough!

It was a pleasure staying at the Ma'xanab Hotel! Both the hotel and the staff were outstanding: The location is excellent, with many interesting places within walking distance or easily accessible by car, and the hotel staff are incredibly helpful and willing to help with even the smallest of wishes! A place you'll gladly return to!

Beautiful fusion of infrastructure and nature. Like a jungle home! Free bike hire was also a big plus as the taxis are extraordinary expensive!

Garden view bedroom overlooks the reception/foyer area as such we cous not open the curtains so room was very dark. These windows need net curtains

“beautiful bohemian hotel (though pricey) with a great vibe”

loved the decor and the bohemian ambient vibe! it’s very cool and chill. the bedroom was spacious, the bathroom a little smaller. the room didn’t come with a TV which is unusual for a 5* hotel but all the staff were very nice. we loved them and their hospitality.
