Peaceful location yet not too far from Tulum itself and very accessible to multiple cenotes. Amazing sea view from the balcony and comfortable sun beds. It was truly relaxing. The hosts were very friendly.

A really lovely little family run place right on the beach, super comfortable bed, great shower, well equipped kitchen. Extras like a water station, additional breakfast items (at a very reasonable cost) and a highly responsive and friendly team makes this a 10/10 experience. Hammocks outside, very clean, housekeeping daily, peaceful, walking distance to a great Cenote with seaside cafe opposite, lovely restaurant right next door, what more can you ask for? Perfect paradise. There was an issue with our air con and they managed to get it completely replaced within hours, even offering us a free breakfast to apologise for the problem. Absolutely brilliant. We used the opportunity of staying here to go on a whole Cenote day tour, which was fantastic. Well worth doing.

From our large balcony we enjoyed a wonderful view of palm trees, beach and sea. The service was top and rooms were spacious and absolutely clean. We particularly appreciated the available kayaks.

We enjoyed every second of our stay here. The property is beautiful, we loved our apartment and eating breakfast on our terrace every morning. Staff is super friendly and helpful. It is located a bit outside of Tulum and more quiet, which was perfect for us.

An amazing place in the middle of the jungle with the beach at the doorstep. Perfect if you want to disconnect from everything and everyone, and just chill. There is a nice restaurant next door (upstairs) with unreal views. I loved that SUPs and kayaks are included in the stay. Breakfast was really nice (different fruits, yogurt, fresh juices, some bakery) and that combined with my balcony views was just amazing. The hosts were really nice and helpful with tips and anything I needed. Recommendation from me: use inDrive app to get to or out of the place if coming from Tulum town (you might save a bit of money compared to regular taxi fare).

A beautiful and peaceful location, perfect to relax and enjoy the sea. The room was spacious and was kept very tidy and clean throughout our stay. We loved the possibility to get kayaks from the hotel, which facilitates the exploration of the reef located just in front of the place. The hosts have been kind and available. In short, a great stay.

The days we spent at this wonderful hotel were among the most beautiful of our trip to Mexico. The hotel is stunning, located right on the beach—a true paradise. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful, and assist with any problems or requests. There is a restaurant right next door, and a cenote within walking distance. Free kayak rental is also available. It was amazing—thank you very much!

Casa Colibri's description on booking does not correspond at all with the reality. The breakfast is pretty dreadful , a little bit of fruit and little buns that were so dry...the beach is full of seaweed no effort to clean it up . Nancy and Melissa are American...time to grow up and stop presenting your place as a paradise. It's a place to avoid ...and you thar but don't care !! John and Claire Rush Booked for 3 days and left after 2 days ..enough is enough !

The hotel was simply amazing! The host and staff were incredibly friendly, the room was spacious and private, and the whole place felt very quiet, safe, and cozy. Everything was also very well equipped — there was even a fully equipped kitchen, which made our stay super comfortable 😊 They served us breakfast every morning (granola, yogurt, pastries, fresh fruit, and juices 🤌🏼), which was such a nice touch. The property also has a beach within the area, perfect for relaxing or snorkeling, and they even lend kayaks and paddle boards! The location is great as well — about a 15-minute drive to other beaches like Playa Paraiso or the center of Tulum, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants and bars. My partner and I had the best time and are very grateful we chose to stay in Casa Colibri 😊

My wife and I just loved our stay at Casa Colibri! For us, it was the ideal place to chill-out and relax after our Mexican city stops. We loved our room and especially the delightful balcony. The beach in front of the facility was quiet and nicely kept, and it was great to have free use of the kayaks as well as the pier in front of the next-door hotel (we highly recommend the hotel for food - an excellent chef and team). We also enjoyed bird watching; a wide variety on the sea, beach and in the vegetation.

It's a quiet and nice location outside of Tulum. We really enjoyed the breakfast on the balcony. You can take the kayaks and SUPs which is also great.

A hotel right on the seafront, in a quiet area away from the tourist crowds, with well-maintained garden. A kitchenette with a large refrigerator and basic utensils for preparing simple meals. The host serves breakfast of her own choice — something different every day. Next door, there’s an excellent restaurant offering high-quality food.

Our first stay in Mexico couldn’t have been more rewarding. Casa Colibrí Tankah is exactly as others describe — peaceful, authentic, and full of charm. The place has a special atmosphere where you immediately feel relaxed and close to nature. The breakfast was truly authentic, freshly prepared with local ingredients and served directly to the room — a perfect start to the day. Communication with the owner was excellent from the very beginning, and even though we arrived extremely late, everything was arranged smoothly and with genuine hospitality. Don’t miss the nearby Cenote Taak Bi Ha, one of the most stunning we visited, and take the time to enjoy local street food in Tulum — simple, delicious, and part of the real experience. A stay that combines comfort, authenticity, and kindness — we would return without hesitation.
