Wonderfully and tastefully restored hotel right by the sea. Only a few rooms have small balconies (which we had) and were terrific. Breakfast was good and we had it at their lovely outdoor terrace. Staff very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended. We will be back!

“Beautiful hotel to look at from the outside and the courtyard, beachfront restraunt. Not worth the cost”

Kastelet Hotel I thought long and hard about this review and wanted to give travellers that haven’t yet been an honest review. The hotel by appearance and its position is beautiful however, what the photos don’t show you at front of the hotel, there is the walkway and then the beach. The first thing that was obvious is that you have to pay for the cheap, not comfortable sunbeds each day €28 for 2, (if paid for at the hotel) which is quite an amount over a stay. Please do not expect a nice sandy beach anywhere in Croatia, there are only pebbled beaches in Croatia. Narrow strips of pebble beaches and I have honestly never seen so many people cram into those small spaces. There were two outstanding hotel staff Stefan and Nenad, we can’t sing their praises enough. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We found it quite bizarre although we stayed at the hotel for 7 days, staff addressed us like they had never met us before even after a few days and quite honestly didn’t recognise us as hotel guests. Some of the staffs mannerisms were quite abrupt. We asked for an iron which to us is not an unusual request when staying in an hotel, especially 4 star and we were just told the only option was to pay for laundry. We were in a standard room 120. The room itself was quite lovely for a standard room however, you wouldn’t have wanted to open the windows as the hotel next-door is extremely noisy and not attractive at all to look onto. The hotel breakfast was a treat. It is the first time we have stayed in a hotel that served a range of food together, served to your table. We would much rather prefer to pick from a buffet style, it was quite overwhelming the amount of food that came together. On the first night we arrived at the hotel I asked for a cocktail which was delivered and beautiful. The second night to sixth night I was told there were no cocktails, just bizarre! Then on the seventh night a separate cocktail bar appeared!

“Perfect, but very short vacations”

Amazing hotel on the beach. It’s really on the beach. There is only a pedestrian road between the hotel and the beach. Hava and Marco in the reception were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel offers everything you might need, wonderful restaurant, the quality of breakfast, very clean hotel. The restaurant team is absolutely amazing. There is not a single thing that this Hotel needs to add and improve on. We will return to this Hotel again.

The building is absolutely stunning—you can feel its history and charm the moment you arrive. There’s so much character, and it really deserves more care and attention. The building is absolutely beautiful—you can feel its history and charm throughout. It deserves real appreciation and care. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety and fresh options. Our room had a lovely, modern design that fit well with the historic setting. Housekeeping was okay, no complaints there. And a big thank you to Hava at reception—she was incredibly kind and professional, and made us feel very welcome.

Very clean, newly refurbished, 5* high standard stuff, wonderful restaurant and room service, close to the beach, fantastic location. There is no street between the hotel and the beach, only pedestrians can pass, so it’s very safe and quiet during the night. The interior patio is super quiet, good for working, zoom meetings and just relaxing. During the breakfast you are served whatever you like. The restaurant team is absolutely amazing. Reception is working 24/7 and stuff is super friendly and helpful on every single step of your holidays. I extended my stay for another week just after arrival when I saw how fantastic this place is.

Overall the hotel and the rooms were very nice and the beach that is just outside the hotel's front door is AMAZING. We also appreciated the dedicated parking as this can otherwise be a nightmare in Tucepi. We had a nice 2 nights and enjoyed ourselves very much (total 7/10), but expectations from the reviews on here as well as the pictures were not met. What was also very nice was that you could stroll along the promenade at day / night for restaurants and pure pleasure making the location a really good one.

Design of hotel is very sofisticated.. interior desing is also very nice very elegant, it is place with taste. Near of hotel is best sea in Croatia.

Amazing breakfast, best was no small kids…but you have the “Zoo” with kids and families right outside on the beach. Best was also to enjoy the quiet backyard when it got to noisy in front.

Everything! Especially how friendly the stuff was. We were able to be in the restaurant outside or in the courtyard garden with our dog and that was something we really loved that there were no limits for where you can bring the dog or not. The location is great and the renovation of the hotel is astonishing.
