“beautiful hotel in beautiful place”

area itself was good, staff were all very kindly. the hotel looks very beautiful kept original construction with newly innovated internal, so classical/vintage look with comfort stay. breakfast and their restaurant was good.

Fantastic breakfast selection.

The breakfast is my favourite thing about this place. Be aware that not all rooms are in the nice building facing the castle. My room is in another building down the street. The room itself is fine, but the building itself just does not the same vibe.

Lovely hotel. Unbeatable location. Very helpful staff - and central parking available which must be rare in Tubingen. Excellent breakfast. Recommend. Also the restaurant is lovely for evening meals.

The bedding had a plastic cover over everything which made it extremely uncomfortable and sweaty to sleep in.

“Not quite what we expected…”

The hotel and its reviews promise much but with the tricky access, the challenging parking (they will kindly park cars for the fainted-hearted, which I thoroughly recommend) and the lack of warmth and welcome, we weren’t sure it was worth the effort and price. We were expecting something with olde worlde charm and traditional German hearty hospitality. The restaurant was good with plenty of local options but rooms are very dated and not in a quaint, authentic way. That said, the beds are super comfy and we slept well. The waitresses were lovely and super friendly but hotel staff seemed somewhat frosty. As if we were a necessary nuisance. We may have upset things by accidentally arriving early - but we did apologise and dutifully go away until check-in.

Location was fantastic. The view from my window was so beautiful. The breakfast was very diverse (hot and cold food selection). The staff in the restaurant was particularly helpful!

“Great Stay”

Lovely hotel, room was spacious and with all good facilities. Breakfast was great with a good selection. Staff were so helpful especially when there was an incident with another car in the car park. Location was brilliant. Really pleased with our stay!
