Kasuga House is a wonderful gem! I stayed in the Studio, which is a great base for a medium or long-term stay. There is an excellent supermarket within walking distance and the well-equipped kitchenette allows independence. The location is in a quiet neighbourhood with fields on one side and it is a very pleasant 25-minute walk, through residential streets with some traditional houses, to the university campus. Kamiwaki-san is a great character - very kind and welcoming - and I would definitely stay here again.

I got one of the three rooms at the Second floor - with door. What I liked is that it is not like a hotel room but a home to me like you are really living in Japan. The room is almost complete with amenities - with kitchen, bathroom, and toilet, with all the basic stuff (tissue, shampoo, bath soap, kitchen utensils) are already provided. The room is spacious. The surroundings are peaceful and serene. The nearest supermarket and convenience store is just lest than 1 kilometer away. The owner was very kind - he even lent me his bike, gave me a free ride to Tsukuba Station, and very approachable.

Nice and clean bath room, hot water included, separate toilet, big room with cheap price, room make all by wood, smell good, comfy bed.

The room I rented was very clean and fully furnished. And I really liked the landlord, he was very nice and always willing to help.

The best thing i like is the hospitality of the guest house owner. He is really kind and can be able to speak English really well. My check-in time was latest at 7PM but I unintentionally checked in really late at 1AM and he was really welcomed and introduce me all the things. I booked the single room with cheap price but in fact, i can use a room with 2 beds and it was rather big with air conditioner and big window. Surroundings are spacious rice fields and the roads are quite big. We can use all facilities from kitchen, common room, and washing machine. The traditional Japanese rooms with tatami with the rice field view is also available for all guest. Also, some bikes were provided for guests, which is super convenient!

Quiet location, but close to supermarkets and train station. Easy to commute daily to Tokyo. Very friendly and helping hosts.

We really liked the hostality of the owner and the fact, that we got bikes since it is really hard to get around in Tsukuba without bikes. We also liked that we got a nice room with own toilet, shower, and full kitchen equipment.

The fact that I got the entire place to myself was absolutely amazing. Being in a quiet neighbourhood really helped me out to focus on my work. The facilities were well maintained and sufficient. The owner of the place was a really kind and helpful man and we had a good conversation regarding different things.

Everything is good, stuff is polite, comfort then kitchen inside and bathroom

The host gave me and my son a ride to the pharmacy to get diapers late at night and let me borrow their bicycle for free for duration of my stay. He even helped me install a baby seat onto the bike. Very nice family and a great place. Will definitely stay again. The kitchen and bathroom were private and convenient. The bath (ofuro) was also great. The room had a private water heater and air conditioner. The washing machine was on the same floor, everything was supper convenient and the view of rice fields was inspirational. Beautiful sunsets and you can see Mountain Tsukuba.

Personnel really kind and helpful. Stayed in a small apartment. Place was very clean, specially the bathroom. Small kitchen and necessary basic tools for cooking. Nice green area around.
