Overview
On the banks of the Trysil River, this mountain lodge has easy access to fishing and skiing locations. There is a free ski shuttle bus from the property to Trysil Ski Centre, just 5 km away. Free Wi-Fi is offered at Trysil Motell & Vandrerhjem, as well as simply designed rooms with access to shared bathrooms and kitchens. At Trysil Motel guests will find a shared living area with a fireplace, dining area and a flat-screen TV, and there is also a balcony looking down to the river. The Trysil area has approximately 100 km of cross country trails for skiing and hiking, while guests can also rent boats for fishing. Trysil is linked by a bus service to Oslo Gardermoen Airport, 170 km away, and there is a bus stop right outside the property.

The hostel is superb. I was staying with my 2 sons for a short ski trip. The facilities are excellent- great showers/ WC facilities- drying room- everything you need - good kitchen, dining and communal areas. Cleanliness is immaculate The hostel is set in an amazing area next to the river. You should have in your mind that it's a hostel and not a 5 star full service hotel
