Overview
Amidst peaceful countryside of the Orava region, Oravský Háj Garden Hotel & Resort features free indoor pool, hot tub, as well massage treatments and sun beds for a fee. A variety of sport activities is offered. Wi-Fi is for free. There are free fitness centre and multifunctional sports ground. Guests can also enjoy a game of billiard and table tennis, and relax while fishing in the resort pond and horseback riding in the 5-hectare complex. Sauna is offered for a surcharge and bike rental is also available. The Garden Hotel & Resort Oravský Háj consists of 6 rustic-style houses surrounded by a large well-maintained garden. All rooms come with a view and feature a flat-screen satellite TV. Each unit comprises a private bathroom with a shower or a bathtub, and some include a balcony too. The restaurant contains a summer terrace and a winter garden. Located in the main building, it serves typical Slovak cuisine. In warmer season, guests can also make use of barbecue facilities. Oravský Háj is a 5-minute drive from the ski slopes of Brezovica. Hikes to the Skorušiná Mountains can be started directly from the hotel. The town of Trstená is 6 km away. Free private parking is on site.

“Great family-friendly hotel with excellent facilities, friendly staff, and plenty to enjoy”
- Nice, clean apartment. They allowed us to place 3 baby cribs, which was very convenient. - All staff members were extremely nice - from housekeeping to reception, restaurant, and the various facilities. - The hotel complex offers many great facilities and attractions, including free boat rides on the lake, free fishing gear, a petting area with rabbits, and other animals to see, horse/pony riding for a small fee, bicycles (we didn’t try, so not sure if free), a very well-equipped kids’ playroom, and of course, a pool, jacuzzi, and spa area with four different saunas and a cold-water pool. Some areas weren’t relevant due to the rainy weather (outdoor playground, outdoor pool), but we didn’t feel like we were missing anything. - Breakfast was nice, and the staff also prepared eggs to our liking and porridge for the kids. For lunch and dinner, there’s also a restaurant with a variety of dishes for both adults and children. Bottom line: Highly recommended, even (or especially) off-season, since everything feels spacious and calm.

“Worth going if you want to rest with your children”
Secluded in a quiet location. Great place to go with kids. A lot of space where they can run around. Food was really tasty. Horse riding available in a nearby stable. Staff were fantastic, they were very helpful and pleasant.

“Great place to stay and relax”
Very nice, quiet and spacious place with well organized zones dedicated to many activities. You can even fish your own trout in stream flowing through the area. Swimming pool with heated water was also nice surprise. Finally food - we tried few dishes from menu and everything was delicious. Offer of local wines is impressive.
