The accommodation was spotlessly clean, and the host is an incredibly kind and welcoming person who personally comes to greet you warmly upon arrival. During our stay, we didn’t need to resolve anything at all, but I am confident that if we had needed any help or advice, Susann would have been more than happy to assist us immediately. The apartment itself is beautifully clean and fully equipped – honestly better equipped than any accommodation of this kind I’ve ever stayed in. The kitchen was so well stocked that it was almost better equipped than my own at home. For forgetful guests, even basic toiletries were thoughtfully provided, which I consider a truly lovely bonus and a sign of how much the host cares about her guests. The house is located right next to a road with quite a bit of traffic, but surprisingly there was virtually no noise inside the rooms at all, and we slept perfectly well. We chose this accommodation intentionally because we wanted to stay outside the city, and it was just a short walk to a beautiful frozen lake where we were lucky enough to witness breathtaking northern lights. This spot is also recommended by Susann in her guide, which she sends in advance and also provides as a printed copy in the accommodation. If you’re unsure what to do or where to go in the area, she will definitely help you make great choices. We rate our entire stay very positively and I can easily imagine returning here if I ever visit this region again. I would like to sincerely thank Susann for a wonderful stay, which truly elevated our visit to northern Norway.

We had a wonderful stay at Susann’s place. The apartment is cosy, beautifully decorated, spotless and very functional, with everything we needed and lots of thoughtful, practical little details. It really felt like a comfortable nest, ideally located in the heart of a stunning fjord, from which we could easily explore the whole region. Susann was incredibly caring while remaining discreet and respectful of our privacy, and we truly appreciated her kindness throughout our stay. Some previous reviews mentioned noise from upstairs, but in our experience it was really minimal – just the normal sounds of a family of five living their life. As for the road nearby, we didn’t find it noisy or disturbing at all. A special mention for the excellent guide written by Susann and Jørgen: it’s a real goldmine of useful, reliable tips. We tried several of their recommendations – hikes, aurora spots and restaurants – and every single one turned out to be amazing. Thank you again for the warm welcome, Susann and Jørgen!

“A beautiful soul feeding stay”

What an unbelievable place to stay! It's absolutely perfect. I was a solo traveller who purposely wanted a location that was outside of the centre, immersed in nature, whilst also being able to get into Tromso city centre without driving. This stay was everything I'd hoped for with this and more. There was a bus stop right outside, which was really convenient. The apartment itself was beautiful, wonderfully, and thoughtfully decorated, blending minimalistic stylish-ness with cosiness and comfort. The personal touches were heartfelt and made the stay feel extremely special. This place was fully stocked to have a completely self-sufficient stay too if that's what you would like, with plenty of fridge space and all the equipment needed to cook etc. As stated in the description, there is some noise from above, however Susann kindly checked in with me about whether I was an early riser or preferred a lie in to try and minimise any bits of noise. This did not take away from the peacefulness and relaxation this beautiful apartment offers. The surrounding area is completely breathtaking, and the access to additional services, such as snow shoes, etc, the use of the fire pit, made it feel extra special. Susann was incredibly friendly and helpful at all parts of the trip, from the booking process, the run up to the trip, and throughout the duration. She was readily available to answer any questions I had and to help me as much as she could. You can tell that Susann and her husband pour their heart and soul into what they offer and the experience of their guests. I can not give a higher recommendation for this place or their newest venture, too. I will be back as I wouldn't try anywhere else and to certainly give the caravan a go, which is beautifully situated amongst the trees overlooking the Ffjord! Thank you for a soul feeding trip.

Absolutely perfect stay, we could not have asked for better. The hospitality from the hosts were exceptional, the apartment is incredibly comfortable and they provide everything for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed the firepit overlooking the fjord it was such a special experience.

“Lovely place to explore Tromsø.”

Loved everything. The apartment is really beautiful and cozy with amazingly comfortable bed, pillows and blankets. In the kitchen you have everything you need to prepare meals. The possibility to sit down the fjord and just relax in the sun was so nice and also the firepit to start a fire and grill some marshmallows and other food. The "sunset" is also beautiful, even if the sun doesn't really set at this time of the year. The location is also good, short drive to Tromsø and many other beautiful places if you want to hike/ski. You can hear the foot steps and other light voices from upstairs but it did not bother us at all. With earplugs we slept like babies. Temperature in the apartment was very good, not too cold, not too hot. The traffic outside the place is not that bad. Be careful with the water filtering can when you fill it and place it in the fridge. It is very unbalanced for a while when the water is filtering and it easily jumps out from the fridge when you open the door. Water also tastes quite ok straight from the tap, we did not notice big difference. Susann was very friendly host and we will absolutely come back to this place if we travel to northern Norway again! 🩵

The property was very conveniently located. It was on a bus route with a bus stop right outside which could take us into town. It was warm, comfortable and the facilities were great. We loved that the property was close to the fjord where we could go to sit on reindeer skins on chairs next to a fire pit. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay special. It was clean and comfortable, modern yet traditional.

“A perfect place with an excellent location”

An ideal place for a family vacation! The house is very cozy and equipped with everything you need. The fireplace area by the fjord is also very convenient—it’s sheltered from the wind and a comfortable spot to watch the Northern Lights. We recommend reading the host's guide, as it contains many useful tips. Susann is a very welcoming host, and through her, we learned more about Norway. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We had the most amazing northern lights shows from this apartment at the little fire pit on the fjord. A short walk down the hill with reindeer skins to put on the seats and plenty of wood. Being away from the city meant we had an incredible view. They warn about the noise from the apartment above - this was really louder than we expected and at all hours of the day/night. We appreciate that it was mentioned but it was significant and did interrupt sleep quite a few times especially in the morning after a late night watching the lights. We also couldn't drink the water as it had a very sulphurous taste - apparently they had just changed a filter i think and it doesnt usually taste like this. Otherwise good to have an oven/cooker but some trays to use in the over would be good. Free off road parking and friendly hosts. Option for ski suit rental was great! Definitely worth paying for, reasonable price too and good quality, looked nice. Bed comfortable and shower good. Nice touches like hot chocolate and marshmallow left for us.

Susann has created a home away from home 💛. We had a very comfortable stay. We spent 3 nights in the accommodation and wished we had spent all 5 nights of our Tromsø holiday there. The property was spotless and it is clear that a lot of effort and time has been spent into making everyone feel very welcome. We recommend to rent a car in Tromsø and it becomes super easy to travel around. Susann was also always reachable for any questions.

Everything! It was such a perfect spot for my trip, I travelled solo and hired a car and it was the perfect place for me to rest up. The place was so cosy and welcoming, Susann & Jørgen were excellent hosts and super friendly. The road didn’t bother me one bit, it was really handy set off point actually. If I go back to Tromsø I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere but here!
