“A cosy home away from home”

Fantastic stay! Arne is a wonderful host who provided great local tips. The room is fully functional and the bed is super comfy. Excellent shower pressure and hot water. The location is perfect—within walking distance to the main street, shops, and transport.

Arne was very friendly and helped us with the heavy luggage. Place is homely and warm during winter. Venue is very near to town, easy access to many places. Highly recommended!

“Magical stay in a beautiful city”

Words couldn't possibly describe just how amazing this apartment is. Arne and Elisabeth are wonderful, friendly hosts and they made us feel very comfortable upon our arrival, going out of their way to even let us check in a little earlier than initially planned. The fresh flowers in the living room were a gorgeous touch, and Elisabeth's paintings adorning the walls were so beautiful. Arne's waves from the window as we embarked on our various adventures always made us smile and feel a sense of community during our trip. And the apartment has the cutest kettle I've ever seen! To stay in such a traditional-looking Norwegian home really added so much magic to our first time exploring Tromsø. The apartment itself is the perfect size, compact but not cramped, and it felt so incredibly homely. It really felt for a week that we were living the Norwegian life. It is situated perfectly for exploring the city; when you leave, you're greeted by a calm residential street, without being immediately thrown into the more chaotic tourist-filled areas, whilst only being a couple minutes' walk away from the main street. To stay here really added something extra-special to our visit to Tromsø, and I'd recommend this apartment to anyone considering a holiday here. If you're lucky, you might even see the Northern Lights out of the kitchen window! :D

“Wonderful stay”

One of the best accommodations we ever had. Such a lovely and cozy apartment in a beautiful old house, still very functional. Has everything you need, perfect location, easy to walk into center. Hosts are very friendly, we felt very welcome. If I ever come to Tromso again I will definitely stay here again.

“The magic house”

Only few days before Christmas we received our gifts in Tromso, more than we could wish for. We loved our warm Red Old House, we loved to watch people passing by, we admired Elisabeth's beautiful paintings, we enjoyed Arne's music and contagious joy and we will definitely miss going out for a drink at Bla Rock Cafe. Don't forget to check the magic kitchen window and maybe you will see the most amazing Northern Lights, like we did.

Location was fabulous. 5 mins walk from centre shops, 2 mins from supermarket and nice quiet road. Arne was so lovely, went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. Thw room was cosy, sofa and bed was super comfy. Saw Northern Lights every night from kitchen window

“Perfect property in a great location.”

Lovely apartment in a quiet area but close enough to the centre of Tromso. Had a lot of character and was perfect for us in every way. Arne and Elisabeth are perfect hosts and gave lots of good advice. Blaarock Cafe is a MUST to try for great homemade burgers and they have awesome local beer too.

Great location was very central and easy to get to tourist tours (5/10 mins walk to everything) great shower, comfy beds, nice aesthetic. Very pleasant stay!

The Red House was perfect for us. The location was great, just 10 mins from the airport in a cab and the house was cosy, warm and welcoming. Our host Arne was easy to communicate with and he cleared the snow for us each day from the path, which wasn’t easy! I highly recommend this property if you are in Tromso and we would definitely stay again. Thanks

“We'd stay there again”

Arne was lovely and we were really happy to not be in a hotel room after 3 weeks of travelling. It was cosy and warm and really nice to have a morning coffee to start the day. The property was built in the 1800's and full of character.

The apartment is right in the heart of Tromso, everything is easily accessible through a 10 minutes walk. Beds are super comfy and the apartment is cozy. The host is flexible and gave us some great insight to take the best out of our staying. Would definitely recommend it

The apartment, managed by the courteous and helpful Arne, was comfortable, well-maintained, and perfectly situated for exploring the city. A highlight of my stay was the recommendation to visit Blårock Café. This cozy spot offered an incredible burger that easily ranks among the best I've ever had. The venue itself had a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Tromsø, not just for the comfort and convenience it offers, but also for the fantastic local experiences it introduces.
