“Excellent stay”
Very nice hotel, right in the centre of town, walking distance from train station. Old building but everything very clean and well cared for. Staff friendly and discreet. Enjoyed the breakfast in the ground-floor dining room. Excellent stay and I very much reccomend.

“It was OK, yet I would not choose this hotel again for stays that exceed 2 nights.”
Location for us was great! For longer stays, you need a fridge, washing machine and would have been nice to have an electrical kettle that does not cause an electrical shortage almost every time you plug it in. The rooms need better cleaning under beds and dust accumulating in corners and round the room edges. Toilet needs better brushing and windows were not properly cleaned either. Receptionist is only on and off available. As a guest you would have no clue about the times of availability, because nobody tells you unless you ask! Staff were friendly though...

Pigeons 1 meter out of our window. There 'used to be' some sort of spikes to prevent pigeons from sitting there, but they are broken.

“Tricky check in if you don't speak German”
The location was great for the train station to get to Messe Deutz for Gamescom. Simple walk and quick train ride. Check out was simple.
