Great place to stay. Beach is soo good and our room is soo close to the beach ⛱️

We loved staying here for two nights (which is way too short for how lovely it is). We enjoyed a nice dinner in the evening and the breakfast is extensive. The personnel makes this place amazing; they are so kind and attentive! We stayed in one of the higher bungalows; which are very clean and modern. The beach was one of the nicest I have ever seen.

The Location was amazing, metres away from the beach, but away from the crowds. We had a couple of days with the manager away and a couple with him there. Although the staff were very polite and attentive they were a bit like a ship without a rudder and the difference it made when he returned was huge. A really relaxed place, fantastic food and the whole area was just what we were after. ( We were here in January so it was beautiful and quiet)

Not worth for the money

We liked the location of Tottam Beach Hotel, as it’s just a short walking distance to the beach. The property has great potential.

A peaceful retreat offering comfort, privacy, and genuine hospitality. Our ground-floor room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with tea and coffee-making facilities and filtered water provided for added convenience. The manager and chef was delightful, taking pride in using fresh produce from the property in his cooking. For seafood lovers, he sources fresh fish daily — the snapper we ordered was particularly delicious. This was also the first beach in Sri Lanka that truly felt inviting, though swimmers should be mindful of the steep drop-off just a few meters from the shore. While the rooms don’t include a fridge, the staff were happy to let us use the one in the restaurant.

First of all: the meals are great, do not skip! All the staff members were amazing. Very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Houses were clean and quiet, beds were comfortable, but on the harder side (a plus for us). There’s a lot of trees, birds and animals in the area. It’s next to the beach. There are no restaurants or bars in this area, but thanks to that there’s peace and quiet. Those restaurants and bars are easily accessible by tuk tuks. When we arrived on a first day, it was too late for a dinner, but it was made for us anyway as a courtesy

“Exceptional”

It is a small, peaceful resort, right on a stunning beach, set in lovely grounds. The beach was very clean and so quiet, that at times it felt like our private beach. It is completely undeveloped, with a few wooden sunbeds under frangipani trees and a volleyball net. We didn't need anything else, so it was perfect for us. We felt safe swimming there at all times. The hotel provides beach towels. Breakfast and dinner were served in a very pleasant restaurant, with sandy floor and wooden tables and chairs. The breakfasts were varied and very tasty and Mr. Silva was able to cook delicious, gluten free rotis and hoppers for us, and we can honestly say that they were superb. He really went out of his way to make sure we had everything we wanted. We had two dinners at the resort and the fish was exceptional and reasonably priced. We also had a Sri Lankan vegetarian curry, which was also delicious. He helped us with motorbike hire and onward transport. The rest of the staff were also just great, so helpful and friendly. They work incredibly hard to keep the rooms, the grounds and the beach very clean. We had a deluxe bungalow which was very comfortable. The storage was OK, but the room could do with some hanging space for our clothes and some hooks. We had such a fabulous stay at this exceptional resort.

The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious—both breakfast and dinner—and they were very accommodating with our dietary requirements, which we really appreciated. The beach right in front of the hotel was clean.

Amazing location on most beautiful quiet beach I have seen in Sri Lanka. Rooms are new and very clean. Manager can organize all escursions in the area at half price versus what you will find in cahotic Trinco. I could see and hear the sea from my bed. We had great fish dinner. Excellent price/quality ratio. Nixe team as always in Sri Lanka

Beautiful location, wonderful rooms, excellent service. Silva, the manager and chef, produced delicious 5-star meals and was very helpful with transport and other recommendations. Would highly recommend this as a place to get away from it all.

Unbelievable beach ! We were alone most of the time as there are not too much accomodation in the hotel, simply great. Very nice people, always helpful. A good cook as well, excellent breakfast and we ate once in the evening fresh barracuda from the market, delicious. Room are good and clean with view on the ocean.
