Overview
Set in the Blekinge Archipelago between Karlshamn and Ronneby, Tjärö Hotell & Vandrarhem offers calm surroundings and a popular on-site restaurant. The island resort has buildings dating to the 18th- and 19th century. Each simply decorated room on Tjärö Hotell & Vandrarhem comes with a garden view. Some rooms have private bathrooms. Free WiFi is available in public areas. Breakfast is served daily and can be booked on site for a surcharge. Guests can book sessions in the island’s sauna. At Tjärö Hotell & Vandrarhem, guests can rent canoes as there are many suitable spots for fishing. There is a summer café on the island, and BBQ facilities are also available. The Tjäröbåten ferry from Järnavik to Tjärö takes 15 minutes.

“Great nature and good breakfast”
It is a small, but beautifull island with several short hiking tracks. The houses with rooms lie scattered over one part of the island and give kids great opportunities to play in nature. Great breakfast buffet!

Beautiful place. Great food in the restaurant. Good breakfast, apart from the scrambled eggs made from powdered eggs. Really nice to sit on the dock having breakfast.

“Amazing!”
It would be easier to say what I didn’t like. It was just amazing. We were 2 adults and 2 kids (6 +8) and these three days in the island was the best part of our summer. Make sure to make reservations at the restaurant if you want to eat between 18-20. The food was excellent both at the restaurant and at the cafe and not overly high priced.

“Great escape”
Unique location on a lovely island in the archipelago. Great for a few days hiking, swimming, bird watching or reading a good book under an oak tree. Very relaxed. Great, friendly staff.
