“Magical place ✨️”

Magical place! I returned this time bringing my partner, who has also fallen in love the Trassilico and community. This time we had dinner, prepares in a rustic and traditiona way, and was very yummy indeed!! We are returning to stay for one night in June. Staying in Trassilico is a recommended tonic which helps in recharging your batteries.

A unique place that a typical review can not be applied to. An ancient village perched on top of the mountain with I think no more than a 100 inhabitants and 30 minutes drive from any place to buy a cup of coffee. It was a unique experience and I am so glad to have done it. As should be expected a very small, basic unit. But interesting is the fact of thing that I would have never expected. Super clean, very comfortable bed, the crispiest bedding and fluffiest towels,. Even a very fast and reliable internet. But a place you have to be prepared for. Make sure to have supplies and necessities with you.

The place was everything you can expect and more. The kindness and hospitality from the stuff and locals was incredibly. We very much recommend the Refugio to stay and enjoy Trassilico.

It was clean and a good room - the area is fantastic even in rain . We walked 3 hours around and will never forget it

What a WONDERFUL hidden gem of a place ✨️. This accommodation is community funded , and especially set up to bring life back into this wonderful humble town. 😊 I stay in a lot of Booking.com places, but this one stood out. Not only am I writing about the accommodation, but also the residents of the town. Who are warm and caring. I sat at their local bustop and was asked three times by different residents, if I needed a lift into town. I didn't, I was simply soaking in the atmosphere. This town has 4 churches...one in the forest and the beautiful Rocca (Castle ruin) with heart stopping views, located less then 10mins. from the accommodation. Lucca, who checks you in and is one of the best mixologist I've come across...made me an excellent Boulevardier, thanks to the recommendation from Marco. It was a 3rd of a price you'd pay in London! I happily drank this outside in the company of the town residents and guests. Yessss, it's a winding road to get to this accommodation, but boy, it sure is worth it 👌 😉. I will be staying again and will try the food they have on offer there. Thank ❤️ you Trassilico ❤️ 😘 🙏

A peaceful and beautiful stay in Trassilico! This small village offers stunning landscapes, making it the perfect destination if you need fresh air and nature. The people are friendly and welcoming, the food is good. Great memories!

“Amazing atmosphere food and village”

Everything about this place was perfect. Beautiful little town with its own castle on top of a hill. The restaurant was incredible (and cheap) we ate so much of the delicious homemade food with ingredients from all around the town, even got a little treat for next day. One of the best meals we had in Italy so far. Hotel doubles as the local gathering point so it’s complete with an authentic atmosphere. Amazing stop after after a day of hiking.

You either like it or hate it. We were unlucky to be there in a pretty bed weather, cold weather front with torrential rain instead of a nice and warm Easter weekend. Yet, the guys living and working there made it unforgettable. I will definitely come back!

Lovely hotel far away from the tourist traps. Beautiful surroundings, good food, good (local & home made!) wine, and nice staff!

Fantastic place to stay. Quiet, relaxing and full of interest. The red wine made from grapes next to the property a bonus!
