Offering accommodation surrounded by nature just 500 metres from Trancoso's Nativos Beach and located on Trancoso riverbank, Mata N'ativa boasts an outdoor swimming pool, 5000m2 of lush greenery and a hot tub with river views. “Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful pousada”
- Great hospitality and friendly staff - beautifully located alongside river with lots of green and animals around, the area of the pousada is actually quite large - Nice breakfast made from local and fresh produce - Nicely decorated rooms with TV and good internet connection - Located 5 min’s drive from quadrado and beach - Due to the location of the pousada its highly recommended to have a car - although the owner was super friendly to drive us to downtown

“The perfect balance of comfort, nature and warm hospitality!”
I had a wonderful stay at Mata Nativa in Trancoso. The location is truly special — surrounded by lush nature, with trees, monkeys, and even a river flowing through the property. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful, with no noise at all, making it the perfect place to relax and recharge. The staff go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, and the new management under Fabiano deserves a special mention — he is an excellent and attentive host. The pousada is conveniently located within walking distance of both Nativo’s Beach and the Quadrado, but they also offer rides if you prefer. Breakfast is excellent, varied, and thoughtfully prepared to please different nationalities. One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary canoe ride along the Trancoso River, guided by a staff member. I went on a sunny day and the views were absolutely stunning — an unforgettable experience. Overall, Mata Nativa offers the perfect balance of comfort, nature, and warm hospitality. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Trancoso.

Above average breakfast with extras (taking into account average Bahia hotels) such as quiche, bruschettas and more. Super helpful, relaxed and efficient staff. I was allowed early check-in without a problem. The grounds of the pousada are extensive, with a fitness, relaxation and spa areas from where you can see the river. The beach is 7 minutes walk away, and if you go to the nearest beach lounge, they have an arrangement whereby you get a beach towel and a 50 reais discount. The place is Ze Barbudo and is excellent.

“Amazing posada in the middle of the jungle. Very close to everything”
The staff and the owners were amazing ! We arrived very late after a very bad flight and we found food for us in the room that was very thoughtful! The breakfast is amazing and the staff are very helpful, the room was exceptionally clean every time! The owners are wonderful, helpful and easy to talk with. We speak only French and English and it was amazing that they spoke both languages :D

“Beautiful stay at tropical paradise”
The pousada is beautiful, from the interior decor to the tropical lushness of the grounds. When staying there, you really feel like you are surrounded by nature. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the moqueca!
