“Fantastic experience throughout”

Loved the traditional room, it was way more spacious than expected and so cozy. Spent some time there reading and drinking delicious green tea. The ryokan is lovely and calm, has their own complimentary shared and private onsen and the public onsen card is included. Service personnel was very kind and helpful, carrying my heavy luggage to the room in the annex. Super easy to reach from the train station.

Perfect location for a traditional Ryokan experience. Staff was friendly. They have private baths in the hotel which are very nice.

My experience at Ryokan Tsubakino was excellent. All of the staff were very polite and generous. Nalan (the Nepali staff member) was especially professional and attentive. If I come back to Kinosaki Onsen in the future, I will definitely stay at this ryokan again.

Great, quiet location to walk to all onsens. We enjoyed wearing the yukata indoors and outdoors. The Ryokan set meal in the evening was delicious. All staff were very helpful but English is limited.

Food, service, location and room was magical. Was not cheap, but was the highlight of my stay in Japan. Really a memorable experience. Cannot recommend it highly enough. The room we booked in particular was a blend of traditional Japanese and modern connivence. Wonderful.

The staff were absolutely incredible, comfort 10/10, private onsen big vibe. Check in experience felt bespoke and very welcoming. Location bang on, authentic, staff went the extra mile to help with everything we needed.

The dinner and breakfast were incredible. The staff gave us a tour, taught us how to put on the Yukata's. Gave us a map of the recommended onsen routes. Amazing facilities and amazing staff. The ryokan features private and public baths, traditional architecture, and spacious rooms. Great food. Politeness, tidiness and order are perfect like everywhere in Japan!

“Peaceful indulgence”

The ryokan was beautiful and well located. The staff were polite and attentive and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in a room with a private onsen, but still made use of the micro bubble onsen bath. It was a lovely way to relax after the delicious kaiseki dinner. I'm a vegetarian and I felt very well looked after with my meals, the best vegetarian food I'd had during our entire Japan trip!

Once you enter the Ryokan, you're immersed in the traditional side of Japan. It's an incredible experience. Everything here is so amazing. The staff, the onsen, the room, the location, the food.

Absolutely amazing dinner and breakfast! I'm vegetarian and the substitutes were carefully chosen and presented and very tasty. Ryokan was a beautiful building and their private onsen was lovely. Staff were extremely attentive and hospitable.

Everything was amazing, really beautiful ryokan and the location was unreal. Just a five minute walk from the station and the public onsens were right on your doorstep.

Absolutely wonderful experience, and my favourite memory during our Japan trip. It was great to escape the touristy cities and stay here for a night. We had the traditional ryokan room that includes dinner and breakfast which was exceptional. The staff were incredibly attentive, intentional and kind. Their English is limited, but nothing Google translate couldn't help with. We appreciated the pass to visit the public onsens around and yukata.
