“Very fun stay!”

Very social! It was super fun playing board games with everyone and the staff were very friendly. Also there is a lawson right opposite!

Really nice location near the center of Toyama with a konbini in front of the hotel. The room and bathroom were super clean, and the staff helpful, friendly and accomodating. The kitchen also has all the tools you need and enough space for cooking. The living room is always full of life in the evening, with interesting people doing different activities such as board games or playing music. There are a lot of books in the house so you can also chill and read some. For my experience, I really felt like being part of a family for a few days, whose warmth was truly appreciated. Would recommend to any traveler out there!

Staff were friendly and left me some privacy. Most of them were students I think. However, I think the place needs to be taken care of.

The location is right across the road from the street car and very central to many locations in Toyama (there is also a really good izakaya just down the road). Despite being busy with dinners and sightseeing the few days we stayed, the common space looked really nice and welcoming and seemed like a great place to interact with other guests and the local community. Our room was spacious and as there were few guests staying that weekend it was nice and quiet as well. We were also thankful for the free street car tickets given to us.

In a really convenient location for the tram stops. The staff are students, so are very friendly and eager to practice English. The facilities are good and clean.

If you’re looking for a warm place to make new friends and share life, i’d recommend Yosuga for their hospitality and openness. I enjoyed my time there as a solo traveller and had really nice conversations! Thank you for blessing me.

Super friendly staff

The people there are very nice and welcoming. We had fun conversations in the evening.

the accomodation was cute, a little random - had lots of stuff everywhere collecting dust. Staff member was lovely, just a young kid! we got a ticket for two free train rides each - too bad we got given them at 10pm at night and we were leaving the next morning... I liked that there was a whiteboard to book your shower time to make sure you had the bathroom when you needed.

“A lively and welcoming atmosphere”

As soon as I stepped foot in the hotel, I was greeted with shouts of enthusiasm for my ukulele. It could only go well after that! The atmosphere was so warm, it was so nice! We spent the evening with the other guests, chatting playing board games, playing music, and drawing. On the accommodation side, it was perfect! Very comfortable dormitory beds, an intelligent system for bathroom time sharing, and I was able to make a laundry for free.

“Great hostel with friendly young staff!”

We only stayed one night, but would happily have stayed a few more. The staff was super nice and friendly, the location was great. We had a car and could park it directly in front of the hostel! We met some really nice people who were also staying there, and funnily two friends we made in Fukui and met again in Nagano also stayed here the day before haha.

“Yosuga is NOT up to standard!!”

I have no idea how this hostel is top rated. 1 - 5pm check in time is completely unreasonable. Even the more lavish hotels in the world have a 3pm check in time. 2 - The kitchen looks like it hasn't been cleaned since 1982, its honestly disgusting! 3 - I stayed in the dorm room and yeah like the kitchen, underneath the beds hasn't been cleaned since 1982. Apparently they don't wash the duvet cover after every stay so that's just LOVELY! 4 - Apparently it's run by uni students so I suggested they pull their fingers out and clean up the place. Definitely would never stay again!!!

Basic but very homely and the staff are lovely. Had a great night playing games and eating snacks with the staff and guests. Bed was comfy. Tram stop and convenience store across the road.
